on highways i get around 68-70,in city riding 62-64,i mostly ride in 50-60 kms range..

@vinodraj-how much mileage do u get

for me 60+ in highways in the avg speed of 70-75kmph&in city avg 50kpl.
&i used to change the gear @3000rpm for1&2gear..&3&4avg @4000rpm....
some times gear shifts should be >8000rpm for all the gears....to hit the top speed

My sprocket gone from the birthday ride on 23-05-2010 coz i have taken him into beach sand & spinning the rear wheel hard which made the sprocket katak-katak-katak noise. I got the full sprocket set from jai bajaj adayar service/spares after 4 days of waiting.

Total cost- 1064 rs(inclusive all tax)
Sprocket set 4 holes-763 rs
Baring ball-72 rs
Choke set- 150 rs

i am also changing chain set,waiting for it,showroom person told he wil call wen it comes,still no call.wil visit SR tomorrow,

Don't take chances man, get is ASAP. If we both have vinodraj bike type we won't have any problem getting spares.

How many kms covered? Any detailed review about your bike?

The reason I am posting in this thread and awakening it after a long slumber is because I have booked a black and blue Discover 150. This is my second Discover, the first one being 125 DTSi with my brother in Bangalore. I was using my father Star City for almost a year since I got transferred to Chennai and since my father needed the bike back in my home town, I had to get a new one.

Since I got married in May, bikes with split or raised up rear seats were a strict no for the convenience of my wife. This ruled out a lot of bikes like Apache, GS150 and P135. I was not looking for anything more than 150cc.

So yesterday started the hunt for the bike along with out Ace Hunter. We visited all bike manufacturers showrooms . Test drove P150, Jive, Flame and GS150R. Though I was not going to buy GS150, I test drove it just to see how the bike was. It was very much refined and I liked it a lot. We were denied a test drive of D 150 initially. Then we went back and asked for a TD for which Jai Bajaj Sanitorium finally agreed.

The ride was enough to convince me that D 150 was what I was looking for. Though the specs dont seem very good on paper with 13 bhp, the pick up is quiet good as it is a very light bike. The engine and gear box are much more refined now.

Paid the full booking amount today and taking delivery on thursday. Special Thanks to Ace Hunter for his support. The plus was he too got to test ride all the vehicles I rode.

I have Booked Bajaj Discover 150 Yesterday and i will get it in next 2 days and i will post reviews about it.

So sad. My delivery got delayed due to some problems with address in ration card. I will positively get it this Thursday. I will post pics without fail.
