I think installing a 55/55w bulb will damage your head light reflector due to over heat.it may damage the wiring also due to over load.there will be extra load on alternator coil and engine as well.seek expert opinion before going for this mod.i'l stay away from 55w bulb for sure, unless there is coil upgradation which i won't do.

      • helpppp!!!

Frenz i'm planning to get the centrifugal filter and oil strainer cleaned at 1200km as it was not done during 1st service.i'l get it done in my permanent mech shop in my presence.now my question is can i use the same gasket of right side crank case after completing cleaning activity or shall i use new one.if i've to use new, then can use the gasket of old previous xtreme model which used to come with kicker? It was told to me by svc people that old model gasket can't be used in new model due to the absence of kicker. New model gasket is unavailable as of now.

ye lo,4-5 KMPL to isi se kam ho gyi hogi, just get used to the current tyre pressure so dat in future u can feel when its low.One of the reason u were facing problem while acceleration is this.i have faced this problem in my bicycle too where i had to paddle harder when air pressure was low in my tyres.

As arjun (with a new signature :P ) said this may damage ur reflector as well as wiring.Coz the wirings are done according to the stock setup of 35W bulb, u'll have to modify the electrical part for HID or higher wattage bulbs .

Are you sure it was not done in your bike during first service?

not sure. i was planning to do it on my own but then i came to know that it will require draining my engine oil,so i dropped it. will get it cleaned in next oil change @ 3000 Km

As per the service manual , its recommended to clean the centrifugal filter and oil strainer as the metal chips and minute worn out particles will be more in oil which will get collected in centri and strainer.

Yes you have to drain engine oil.cos you need to open right side(clutch side) crank case cover to access the centri filter.as per the manual you need to clean during 1st service.once cleaned, you can forget about centri for next 10,000 kms provided you change engine oil on time.

I will let you know the exact page no of service manual where it is printed(service manual of new xtreme) its in a tabular column, where they have mentioned what are all the things need to be checked, cleaned, inspected, changed on km and service interval basis.in the first column i.e 1st service check list, the check box corresponding to centrifugal filter and oil strainer has been marked with letter "C".
As explained in the index below that column, "C" stands for "CLEAN"

                          • Hello Fellowmen!

Took my bike for an oil change at a local store, they have the standard HH 4T plus 10W30 oil. However the guy over there said cbz would need 1 litre oil but the HH oil can is of 0.9 litre.

Now I believe, the cbz would need approx 0.90 litre of oil (thats what is mentioned in the manual too).
having heard his wierd theory I came back without changing oil and thought would share this with you guys once.
I feel 0.9 litre of oil is the ideal measure of oil to be used while raplacing. please let me know if i am correct, if yes I would go tomorrow, buy the 0.9 litre can and ask them to replace the oil. please correct me if i am wrong...

P.S: 182 kms on the Odo, ideal time to replce the oil right?

                            Thanks & Regards,
                            Kabeer

                            • once while giving service I had told to clean oil filter but instead they had done clutch overhaul and when I asked about it they said they have cleaned the filter also.
First think you are special then work towards proving it.
