There are other threads here talking about Thunderbird Twinspark, Classic 500 and other bullets.
Though from the same genre, Electra's UCE engine is different from TB's earlier UCE.
So here's a thread to discuss specifically about Electra Twinspark and this may also cater to C5 and new Std UCE as all have same engine, dont know if TB now has the same engine.
I own a 2010 Electra Twinspark with 6k on odo.
Have done a number of 200-500 km trips around Mumbai and she hasn't given any real trouble at all.
Some time back on d way to Nasik, I covered around 50 kms at speeds of 80-90 kph constantly and touched 110 a number of times. My sweetheart endured it
but cousins 2007 Electra ended up with displaced tappet locks... Since then I didnt exceed 80kph on long rides. As per the manual, the new Electra is capable of continuous high speeds but those buggers havt specified what speeds exactly

I'd really appreciate feedback from other Electra TS owners on this.
The only issue I have faced so far is the noise coming from the disk brake.
The showroom mechanic once cleaned it but it was back after a few days.
Got it cleaned thoroughly once again from a local mechanic, its was gone but only for about a month...
Got an Indore muffler fitted at around 4k on odo. The sound is sweet. Loud enough to bring a smile on your face. Not too loud like Indore with a Cast Iron. And the engine seemed freer with the new muffler.
So far all smiles n no issues except disk brakes but then I'm not really pushing her to limits and wont till I know her limits very well

Would love to hear from other Electra TS owners.
Happy thumping!

. Occasionally i can hear the tappet sound increasing, but after some time it dies out. I have still not able to figure out what was the cause
. Once I had met a guy who was having a CL 350 and for his bike the tappet noise was a constant thing which he did not seem to mind.
took it straight to temple, did pooja and rode back home happily
and the oil was pumping into the chamber but no white smoke was seen. The fried seal had run for long and the wall cylinder block had become uneven resulting in a loose fit.
