Re: Bullet Electra Twinspark (UCE)
Well that's not correct because with good regular maintenance and care the bike will be more reliable. I own a electra 2009 model , I haven't faced any serious issues till this date . Don't know what happened to your bike buddy but the new generation bikes are more refined and are of good quality too . I mean if it was bad , how could royal enfield sales be sky high nowadays .Originally posted by joshipuneet9 View PostI don't ride a bike to add days to my life .

Re: Bullet Electra Twinspark (UCE)
Hi.Bro
Sorry to say bro but I take care of my electra more than any other person who is having bullet.when I purchase my bull I am so exited that change my rims to alloy wheels but during that I come to know electra comes with 19 inches tyre and there is no good tyres company who made 19 inches tube less tyres first negative point in RE electra. Second 2 times I faced issue with master cylinder of disk brakes I replaced with original One from RE but again bad quality.at last i install karizma master cylinder which is now working fine.so don't u think all these issue are make me change my mind from RE to other bikes in the market

Well I didn't say it's trouble free , every bike in the world at some point will face some issues . I faced more trouble in my honda unicorn than the electra . Well the quality of royal enfield is not that good but they have really improved nowadays. well I agree in your case buddy .Originally posted by joshipuneet9 View PostHi.Bro

If you are looking for more touring ability , the AS200 is the better one and it's performance is similar to the NS .Originally posted by joshipuneet9 View PostSo ,how it is , IT is good for touring and trips .I don't ride a bike to add days to my life .

Re: Bullet Electra Twinspark (UCE)
Hey folks.
Got my new electra 350 on 1st June. Pretty excited . I do have few queries
1) Btw could any 1 of u gimme some info on the running in of the new engine or should i just follow as the manual says. The only issue being i ride in traffic and i barely get to switch to the 5th gear. And i never crossed 50kmph but that speed @5th gear doesnt sound right to me.
2) One slight issue is that the accelerator wire is a tad tight so when i turn the handle to the extreme right it gets pulled a bit and the revs go up. It is not a major issue but should i take it to the service center asap or do it when.i go for the 1st servicing.
3) Since i stay in mumbai which has a very hot and humid climate i wanna make sure my bike stays rustproof. Antirust @350Rs is a good option but do u guys know any other way of protecting the crome.

just follow the manual for atleast 2000kms. you can occasionally go at 60 kmph but not for long duration.Originally posted by Mithun Nair View PostHey folks.

Re: Bullet Electra Twinspark (UCE)
2) Get that sorted out immediately. Its risky when you try to take a u-Turn. What if your hand slips off the clutch? The clutch has slipped out of my hands a few times, especially when its raining.Originally posted by Mithun Nair View PostHey folks.

3)With regards to rust, you are screwed
. The weather in Kerala is almost like Mumbai i guess. So try to get rid of rust spots from the chrome immediately before they spread. Clean and wipe the chrome parts with water first. Then just apply a bit of vinegar or coca cola on the chrome and scrape them of using aluminium foil. Basically the chrome coating on REs is not thick and no matter how hard you try, the chrome will lose its shine after a few years.Or if you have a second vehicle, do what i do. My RE is smeared with oil and stored indoors for the rainy season from June to September. I use my unicorn during that time.
