@RanjithMN No pics right bro! Sorry, I am really lame with pics, I dont own a cam and need to rely on friends and then get the file and upload and stuff. Will try to over the weekend. But take me word the LED s look cool. Besides I dunno if pics will do real justice to the effect the LEDs have in real.

Yeah i did after every burst!!! So no worries.. and cylinder walls getting glazed is a long shot, because the rings wont even had a set with the cylinder, so the circumference of the rings will be fairly rough.. but after breaking they sure will... (i probably think so!!)
And even if any problem does crop up then will come to know, cause thats what i wanted to check!!

        Agreed!

BUT Please allow your 'Horse' to grow up before testing its real worth!

Unknowingly, u may very well have harmed the engine!

I DID THE MOTOMAN BREAK-IN FOR MY FZ...

I told my big bro to come with me as pillion (since he is 80 kilos) and me 65kgs so the bike was fairly loaded.. and then ripped my monster in 1st, 2nd and 3rd gears, with acceleration and deceleration. I went till 7k rpm in these gears. Must say it has loads of torque to scare the hell out of my bro, he was desperately tryin to hang on with the bike, the pulling power is amazing!!!
After some time well i could smell the metal from the engine.. and by that time i had to go for some work so did only 30kms till now, still some to go with it, after which i will change the engine oil and clean the filter (or replace it).

My bro also rode it, he has only one thing to say..
"ITS AN SUV OF A BIKE"
now thats what i call a compliment....

P.S.: Actually it was the bike who ripped us!!!
bro if your bike is new until 1000km or 30 days or your 1st service don't go beyond 5-6000 rpm

                    • 2 weeks back I went on a tour with xbhp pune members...On a free highway I managed to hit the speed of 127kmph at 9000rpm.... The bike was stable around 8000-8500... but not after that...
I guess I have broken all records of speed on the FZ16.

Btw you wont believe if I tell you..

                      R15 hit 149kmph
                      P220 dts-fi hits 142kmph
                      P200 dtsi hits 138kmph

Btw what is the average you guys are getting on ur bikes?

                      • For those who want to get the crash guard on their FZ16s it costs 600/- INR here in mumbai. I asked for the prices today while getting my bike's number plate removed. Prices may vary for other regions.

As I told earlier, got it for 400 Rs - Paras Yamaha(Vasai).
Before that I did inquire at Excellent Yamaha (Andheri) they quoted 500 Rs.

Just an update , I've given my Fazer for its first service today morning. I've clocked 850 kms now (would've gone past 1000 but had gone to Vaishno devi and Kashmir for a vacation for 8 days) and enjoying

So far (touchwood) no gear shifting issues with me.

I fill the bike with 100/200 Rs petrol mostly. As soon as it drinks it shows the fuel bar to 2/3 properly, also gives me an average of around 40-42 now but the fuel indicator very fast comes to blinking even though there's enough petrol. Is it common?

It is common with my bike too, it doesn't stay at first fuel bar for a long time. But I refill only when it switch to reserve from main fuel.

I am not sure how much fuel remains there in reserver (1ltr or 1.4) Can any one confirm please.
