i would say post 5000 kms on the odo would be good enough to shift to fully synhetic... however, some of the fellow riders have gone ahead with fully synthetic at around 3000 kms only.Originally posted by abhijitkn View Post

I would love to ... but since I've already spent my saved 60 K ... I've to wait for 2-3 months to collect 22K for the modsOriginally posted by shv18 View Post
FFEs are not street legal... however with Joel's FFE you get a removable DB killer so the decibel level stays within the limit without compromising on the performance. however, to get the maximum out of the FFE you'll have to remove the db killer... which you can do once you are off city limits or graveyard shift rides with empty streets. or the simplest tricks is to keep the revs under 4000 rpm the moment you see a traffic 'paandu'
trying to hide behind a tree to make a quick buck...
why don't you take your fazer it to joel directly... if you are indeed going for full mods at one go then, you will have to upgrade to 29mm cv carburetor for proper fuelling the new 180cc big bore kit anyways... i am sure post mods you won't have complaints about the top end or the FE
cheers

I guess Yamalube is also JASO-MA2 (not sure about it though). When I asked the Motul distributor here about Yamalube he told that Motul and Yamalube are one and the same....and the same thing was told to me by the SVC.Originally posted by deville_56 View PostBut quality is different. Yamalube made for Yamaha spec and meets only JASO-MA. Motul 3000 is JASO-MA2.
As per manual we are supposed to use JASO-MA2. If Yamalube is not JASO-MA2 then how come SVC guys are recommending it?

Last free service
I have my last free service (6th) coming up in a couple of months. Anything special you guys recommend I should do while the labour is still free?
As of now I've done almost 7K kms.Always assume the other guy will mess up - Ride Defensively!

The one I bought over the counter at first service was only JASO-MA (1.5 years ago). My manual mentions only "4T - 20W/40SG grade- Yamalude 4T". Some lot of Yamalube is made by Savsol, the new shaped greenish blue bottle. And there is whole lotta difference in longivity of Yamalube and Motul 3000.Originally posted by RAK View PostI guess Yamalube is also JASO-MA2 (not sure about it though). +1 to the above statement, with Motul the bike feels completely different, engine is more refined and is more rev happy. Post joelising i may shift to Full-synth oil... but till then Motul mineral oil serves me just fine!!

Bro that is normal.... known chain brands are Motul and OKS, however, there are other synthetic lubing brands in the market as well. Yamaha doesn't have any chain lubing spray as far as i am aware of.Originally posted by Sunjay Kumar View PostI noticed that after applying the chain lube the chain almost turned white in color
they usually use motul but it was not motul i couldn't see the brand name on it
is there a chain lube by yamalube It was a big white can.
Stop getting worried so much for your bike
... just take care of the regular maintainence and ride her as much as you can... as you start clocking more kms, you'll notice the change in the characteristics of the bike... the engine sound becoming more gruntier and more responsive.
ride her as much as you can coz that's the prime reason you bought her.
all in good faith
