Why so peculiar figure of drain interval. I think semi synthetic oil lasts more than 2.5 kms[emoji15]

That I would leave it up to you, TP. But, that oil doesn't have a better performance more than that, trust me.

Once upon a time, a guy asked a girl 'Will you marry me?'
      The girl said, 'NO!'

And the guy lived happily ever after and rode motorcycles and watched sport on a big screen TV, went fishing and surfing, and played golf a lot, and drank beer and scotch and had tons of money in the bank and left the toilet seat up and farted whenever he wanted.

The oil is performing really good [emoji15] gear shifts are good engine is smooth and responsive i didnt expected this from an ordinary castrol oil.

Lets see how long it will last.

I didnt change the oil filter beacause the shops are all closed is it ok for the engine?

It's a decent performing oil, as I said. When was the oil filter changed last time?

          Cheers!

Around 2.5 k kms in the last service.
Since the shops are not open,The old yamalube also went bad i can feel it the pickup has reduced and bike is not soo responsive & i tought if i ride like this further it will do bad for the engine. So immedietly changed the oil.

No problem. Especially with the current situation nothing can be done and reusing the old filter this time won't have a negative impact. Next time, replace the oil filter first.

Why the tappet noise is minimum with the castrol oil?? Were as with the yamalube even with the sport premium which is a fully synthetic one i can hear tappet noise some what loud . With the castrol the noise is still there but the sound frequency is reduced to a greater extent. All says that the castrol is a big crapstrol [emoji1]

Two things, brand new oil, plus being a semi synthetic the oil is thicker and hence thicker oil means good lubrication. Fully synthetics are comparatively thinner than SS and though they flow well, they tend to become watery post engine warm up and lead to noises. SS too will produce the same but they a bit of time and once warmed up, eventually they too will. Castrol or Crapstrol it depends on which. There are a lot of fake Castrol in circulation, so you just never what one's experience was with which. But Activ 4T for the most part, and as I said earlier, is a decent performer.

                  Cheers!

Fake castrols? What will happen to the internal components if i am really using fake one[emoji51]
Any adverse effects to the engine?

Correction: Castrol Activ 4t is Mineral based oil, Power 1 is Semi Synthetic & Power 1 Racing is Fully Synthetic.

Using fake engine oils will result in poor lubrication which would further lead to engine oils unable to absorb the heat so you would end up with over heating issues which would ultimately wear out engine components.

P1R is fully synthetic, Power1 is Semi syn and Activ Extra too is Semi Synthetic unless it was sold without Actibond those were mineral oils. The recent ones with Actibond have some synthetic blends which makes them Semi Synthetic.

Hello FZ owners! Why is the thread so silent? I am looking to buy the FZ v3 as it seems to be the best in terms of performance, FE, comfort and reliability for my use case scenario.

I want to ask a few questions to FZ owner:

                            1. I have read about the coin rattling noise on earlier FZ models. Are v3 users facing it too?

                            2. What is the mileage you are getting?

                            3. Why did you buy this over other 150-160cc bikes when this has, on paper, the lowest power in its class?

I am looking forward to being part of this community!

                              - in normal conditions 45-50

                              - in real life FZ perform very vell. For indian road conditions i think FZ is the best bike in 150-160 segment

Hello everyone. I was planning to get a round headlight conversion for my FZ16 with fork mounting brackets. Can anyone suggest a round headlight assembly preferably 7 inch with good throw for the purpose preferably able to hold 55/60 w halogen? I had got one from amazon but cheap product melted with use. Currently I am using a hero dawn headlight but the headlight isn't satisfactory.
