Need your help.

I have a 2010 CB Unicorn(47k on odo), yesterday I changed my tyres as a set for the first time in 7 years, choose Michelin Sirac street (Front 2.75-18 & Rear 100/90-18).

As soon as I started riding I noticed strange rubbing sound/ vibrations at footpeg exactly at 22kmph "only" (not on any other speeds) on the speedo. I tried depressing the clutch, coasted in neutral same problem. I checked for any scarping marks on tyre, none!

I went to tyre shop this morning. He came pillion with me suddenly vibes were not present. Again I rode single, vibes were back at 22kmph, I was dumb struck. He said there is no problem with tyres, vibes might be due to chain as the new tyre has deeper tread buttons is extended upto 8mm in height vs old tyre.

Might the issue be with Chain slider/chain(replaced @36k kms)? Chain wear indicator is at extreme left(refer pic).

Still I havnt found the solution. Can you please throw some light into the issue.

Hello dear friends..I have a unicorn 150 2016 model run 26000km.I just cleaned the carburettor today.but I didn't note down the number of turns when I removed the air screw for cleaning. Now I am confused what is the factory setting of number of turns of the air screw. Given that I didn't rotate the idle RPM adjuster screw, at what number of turns should I keep the air screw for factory setting.

There will be a slight difference between different machines. It also matters how much load its pulling, condition of air filter, the sp and engine oil. But yes, figure would be something between 1.5 to 2.5. First put at 1.5, ride a km or so, see how it feels. You will know immediately if the bike likes it or not. Turn to 1.75 and ride again. 1/4 turns at a time. Carry a small screwdriver with you. Engine needs to be warm though, to get an ideal setting. If done on a cold engine the rpm will go upto 3-4k idle speed when hot.

Isn't that what I explained in the last post? What do you need exactly?

So if we turn the air screw clockwise the the mixture will become lean right??..I tried first setting idle RPM to 3000, then slowly turning the air screw till a constant rpm is reached, then again adjust the idle RPM screw to 1400. Is it correct method. I did tuning because my unicorn has missing after cold start. Also what is your opinion about fuel system cleaner.

You must have already googled it, that's the ideal method to get the correct AF mix for any carb. Works great if it works. I usually follow the method mentioned above. I know its not ideal, but it works for me.

Have been on shell full synth for the past 2 yrs. Recently I got the Mobil super moto 10w40 along with the stp moto booster. The stp surprisingly worked really well and the smoothness was surprising for my 12 yr 65k kms odo. Decided to try it after seeing it in yt. But an adjustment to the afr maybe be needed post usage of the stp cleaner. The fuel quality also affects the afr, specially for an old bike. This has been my experience.

Keep a note of the number of turns done by you. Track the mileage for a tankful or 2. If you are happy with it then, stick to it for the future. Remember the factors mentioned earlier affect afr substantially.

1 size is usually not a problem in any bike. So 110 should be fine. Decided on make and brand yet?

Hi can anyone post a photo of the carburettor air screw with washers, O-ring and spring. Does it have a metal washer and 2 O-rings?? My carburettor has only one O-ring and a spring only. No metal washer. Don't know if it was lost
