970? Never spent that much. Don't remember how much the OEM costs but it wasn't that much. A seeco set seems to cost 105 and a nikavi 299 on amazon. Any idea on those? Looking at replacing them soon.

No idea but I've had good experience with Minda so went with those. OEM Honda pads are costly from what the ASC guy said to me a year back. Not sure why. Never heard of OEMs costing as low as 360-365 though.

In the previous month I have done a complete overhaul of both master cylinder and brake caliper. Complete parts replaced. So I Pretty much remember the brake pads cost me ₹360.

Could you check and see what brand is that from? Was it there in a Honda packing? Because a lot of OEM honda spares are duplicated and sold as original here.

Unfortunately I didn't took a photo of it. But it was in the original honda packing with hologram and all. Moreover I bought it directly from a honda service center. So It must be genuine only.

Any idea why the seeco set would be 105 on amazon? Can't seem to find Minda online anywhere. Also, in hyd, most shops never seem to have heard of Minda. Have been looking for the 3 lock set from Minda.

By damper, do you mean the spring? Aren't dampers like rubber bushes? The whole suspension unit cost about 3k with installation. Am looking to replace the spring after 11 years. Haven't checked with an asc yet.

                        Hello Guys,

Intro: Bough a new Honda Unicorn 150 from Pilot Honda Bhandup Mumbai In Feb 2018, Completed only approx 3000 kms with 3 services on time.
Problem: Dead Speedometer and low horn sound, gave that to 'Pilot Honda' service center, Service guy called me and told that speedometer wire is broken and would be replaced, it doesn't get covered under warranty and would cost Rs.210.

Now i used to have Hero Honda Splender Plus, used that for 5 years with average daily running of 60 Kms, got no issues like that and service experience was superb, the case with Honda is real disappointing. They should own liabilities towards what they manufacture and how they service.

Speedo cable is cheaper in local stores. It's quite a normal replacement though a tad early. Usually lasts for years. Rather not leave the vehicle if you are not present for any job. Stay with it. Some do misuse vehicles at the svc. Quality has changed in the last 10 yrs of pretty much all manufacturers, not just japs.

It's a shame that the Honda quality has declined in the past few years. I own a Unicorn 150, 2016 and it has given me and my brother a lot of issues. Mostly on highway cruises during the initial run. Thankfully we got the insides replaced during the warranty itself. The switch gear has stopped working every now and then. The cables used are not of nice quality and tend to rupture quite often. I've not faced any Speedo cable issues yet though.

I do not use my Uni these days for anything other than highway rides. Contemplated to sell it for another xBlade or Sz-rr about a few days back. It's not worth it though. Inspite if everything, the only reason why I tolerate is because of the reliable mill which has on offer. The 150 never fails you and truly it hasn't. Even after days of neglect, it starts in the very first kick (my electric start cable is messy). I get a phenomenal mileage of 55kmpl in city. Attaching some shots below. The big hasn't been riden in a week and has accumulated dust due to nearby construction.Click image for larger version

And also check the piston slide movement .it should slide down smoothly.without sticking.its very important .
Lift the slide up with your finger and then release it.
Secondly blow pressurised air through the upper hole at the air filter side of carburettor .the slide should lift up smoothly .Good luck.
