    Reasons for not going for the Unicorn;

    1. The Bajaj Pulsar 150 is by far the best choice you have in the market considering price and performance.
    2. Honda service is not up to the mark and expensive, though quality varies with location, but their customer support is still pathetic, try raising a concern via email and you'll get what I'm aiming at.
    3. Honda spares are expensive in spite of being manufactured by the same suppliers as other motorcycles.
    4. Honda spare availability is still an issue.
    5. Honda's pricing doesn't justify the spare quality, in fact it is not at part with the market offering.
    6. The Unicorn being one of the classic Honda's come with the same valve-stuck issue that plagues the Karizma, not something you should bear with considering the price you're paying.
    I have 8 solid years of experience with Honda! I have a Honda Shine 2010, didn't had any major issues at all. 60K kms driven till date. 50 kmpl solid mileage. Service center vise we have super cool people who can help and reduce costs. They do respond well in (local) and also we recently got a Honda activa for dad, so hard-core Honda customers. Service ain't a issue. The problem I thought was like govt made ABS mandatory in all bikes. Does it really matter? After 5 years I shouldn't regret getting a bike with abs!

      The Shine is a better motorcycle than the Unicorn, for one it doesn't loose momentarily loose compression like the Honda's of the Uncorn era, the ZMA included.

      Coming to your actual concern, no it won't be an issue as long as there is not restriction imposed by the RTO when it comes to registering the motorcycle.

        An update. 2.5 turns seems to make the engine struggle for air. Now trials on at 3 turns. Seems a lot better. Mileage not tested.

          Hey guys facing tuning issues, here's Sibun's post on carburetor tuning, shared by Krishna.

          This is the right way to rune a carburetor rather than going with trial and error, also make sure that every time you tune a carburetor the Air Filter and Spark Plug should be new to get a better tune and read.

          Also do note that in the event something goes wrong i.e fuel missing etc, you should not re-tune the carburetor as all it does is mask the underlying issue, a carburetor should only be re-tuned after its been through a complete overhaul i.e including an overhaul kit and new screws(AFR Included).

          So I guess it would be best if you start looking elsewhere.

          Cheers.

            Hi. Couldn't make sense of the last sentence as above. But yes, I did follow the standard and non-noob way of adjusting the afr.

              There are many factors that affect rideability;

              Manifold Leaks.
              Diaphragm Leaks.
              Slide sticking.
              Faulty Choke Plunger.
              Clogged Air Filter.
              Clogged Fuel Line/Filter/Strainer.
              Inadequate Spark. etc.

              So it would be best to rule out the above in the even that your facing issues such as missing, resistance to accelerate, lack of torque etc.

                    My unicorn is consuming ~150-200ml per 3000kms, is this normal or should I be worried?

                            Switch to mineral and change at 2k drain intervals. Though the drop isn't too much I'd still suggest you keep the drain at 2k.
