Cost is lesser than i was told.

Is this Showroom price ? I asked in a local spare shop and yet to check showroom price

Any idea on the cost of the side Plastic ? where Unicorn or CB Unicorn is written.

Its not available of the shelf. Though the waiting period has reduced drastically. Depends on the dealer.
Im getting my Unicorn from Jhaveri this weekend i.e in a span of 45 days after booking.
on road price was 75.5k

was this price quoted while booking , its expensive almost matching FZ with no added features , 5 months ago quoted price was 69K with 8 months waiting from pilot honda .will recheck again to confirm price as difference is huge in same region.

When to Change?

Hi
I was wondering if someone could provide information on when (or how frequently) to change the following things on a Unicorn:
1)Air Filter
2)Spark Plug
3)Oil filter (I've heard there isn't one on the unicorn but I believe there has to be something else in place of it)
4)Brake pads (I am not satisfied with the front disc brakes, are you)
Couldn't find this anywhere else on the internet/manual and on xbhp as well.
P.S: I feel that there should be a thread on xbhp which gives the same information about every bike present on the Indian rodas.

These are the post budget prices. The price quoted at booking and full payment remained the same. But Jhaveri did an exceptional job by delivering it in 45 days and i received my bike today. other showrooms had waiting periods of 6-8 months. what nonsense !
But 69 is questionable, please recheck !

Unicorn

hi i got my new CB unicorn before 20 days... The waiting period for my bike is 15 days only... but overall on road price including the spare parts nd everything is close to 80 K..

I want to know

1. which engine oil is better... actually they are using honda oil..

2. whats the cost of the indicator... my indicator is broken within 1 week, i dont know how it brokes or the showroom guys brokes it... but when i ask the guys they didnt response properly...

Freelance Mechanic in Noida/Greater Noida

Hi
Have posted this query in the help me section but didn't get a response from anybody. Thought this would help.
Does anybody here know a good freelance mechanic for Unicorn. I have been facing issues with mileage for the last two years. From 54, it has dropped to 35!
Prakash Honda, both at Noida and Greater Noida turned out to be of no use. Every time, all they do is tuning and that doesn't help at all!
So please tell me if you know one.

i got my uni a month before. now it is ready for first service. i have got some problems

1. while travelling in 5th or 4th gear i heared a sound from chain(i think). i never tightened till today. is this problem with chain ? or socket ?
2. at the same speed as above i feel sometimes the bike try to pull backwards suddenly and it going forward
3. Some missing problem ie, the bike reacts like no fuel and it it lacks acceleration in ON condtion then i put fuel in "Reserve" and it runs but after some time when i back it to ON condition it runs smoothly for more than 3 kilometers . what is dis problem ??
4. while travelling in 5h gear suddenly the bike reacts like a clutching. ie it sounds like acting clutch while accelerating( or neutral acceleration, engine vibrates sound)

i want to get rid of this problems. what is the cause of this problems ? is their any engine problem ?

i also want to know this i put 2 new dual horns and 1 park light. is it voids my warranty ? thanks in advance. please help me

Get your chain tightened that'll clear most of your problems,running with extreme lose chain can cause damage to sprockets.It will be taken care of in your first service
And for your third question:
Carb works like a flush tank in your toilet when the fuel in it reaches a certain lowest level, it takes in petrol from tank after it is filled with certain highest level it stops taking anymore fuel, SO when you put to reserve carb get filled and the fuel remaining in carb is used for next 3 or 4 kms.
If you can't understand what i typed, please wait while someone with better grasps in english and bike mechanics explain it for you

Guys can anyone provide me the old uni's(spoke) headlight holder.i dnt like the new headlight of cb unicorn(alloy).so need the old one.can anyone help me out???please m a newbie here!!!!!anyone could courier it to me????i will pay him!!thanx in advance!!!!!
