Chassis bent. Help Needed.

My Bikes First fall has become my worst Nightmare.

The chassis is bent

. Figured it out only after removing the bend from the front shocks.

Now the bike pulls me to the left side causing a lot of pain even for rides more than 15Kms

Is it wise to go to Showroom and fix it or to fix it locally. I found a shop near Porur (Chennai) who said he will fix it for 900 rs. My Friend is suggesting to fix it at Pudhupet where everything is computerized.

Has anyone in Chennai tried fixing the Chassis. ? Please throw some light on this.

Prakash Honda, both at Noida and Greater Noida turned out to be of no use. Every time, all they do is tuning and that doesn't help at all!

Check your riding style , Uni is shy of returning 50 + FE if ridden rashly or above 60 KMH for longer time in top gear.. change gears linearly as per speed , smoothly .
If still problem with carb tunning , engine , you can search any good mechanic who is good in carb tunning , even if its other bikes.

It will be difficult to get old one as unicorn has not changed a lot since its launch. pls check with HMSL directly. my opinion would be to go for new one , its more majestic.

Forks / chasis bent , .. surprising . chassis are strongest part of any vehical and its only feature is to hold the componenets with rider together, only under severe crash or high free fall , or crushed above its tolerence, chasis should bend .alighning bikes chassis is difficult ., check back forks too ( were rear wheel and mon shoks meet).

80 K is damm expensive, Honda oil is best for honda vehicals. you can change indicators while servicing.

I already have the old headlight cluster purchased recently,bt the service center guys hadn't provided the headlight holder and when i enquired about the holder,they kept me telling it is ordered..Everytime i approach to them they would say the same story..i am totally fed up so asked here for an old holder!!!!!i will never go again to them!!as i only burnt fuel and got nothin..dont ever purchase a honda!a bajaj product is far better!!!!!!!

Anybody here want to upgrade their old uni's to new look????well i have a new headlight cluster including holder(BLACK)..if anybody want it i can give it in exchange for their old healight holder only!!!!!!!!!If anyone interested then let me know!!!!prvt msg me!

Fuel consumption issue

Well i received my bike on 21 June. The rear panel was scratched which was replaced after some hassle.
Minor scratches on the front mudguard too.

That apart, the bike was delivered with an almost empty tank.
So i filled up Rs 500 worth of fuel on the first day ie around 7 litres. Now i have clocked 100 kms and the fuel gauge is on 1/4th

So calculating, it consumed some 3.5 litres for 100 kms ? That would calculate an average of less than 30 ?

Or is it that 1 litre of fuel was taken up by the reserve tank as the tank was almost empty and thus i have to calculate it as 6 litres of fuel to start with.

Then the average given would be acceptable if not decent.

HELP !

Unicorn vibrations

I have noticed that my unicorn vibrates when revved in each gear.Infact it kind of doesn't rev freely.It's also the same when riding in speeds above 70.Any pointers on what the reason could be.

My uni has covered 17k kms in the last 4 years.It still runs on the original set of sprockets and tyres.The manual mentions a different spark plug for long distances.Any idea why and any better alternative than the one mentioned or currently in use?

My unicorn completed first service yesterday. How much rpm can i attain now ?? i usually ride below 4k rpm till the first service. My unicorn will vibrate at 60kmph speed. Is it normal ??

It is normal!!!!!!dnt worry it will get smoother by time(usually 3rd sevicing)!!!!!my uni is 6 yrs old and still dont vibe at 100kmph speed!!!its a great piece of machine...

Do not calculate the Mileage till first service. Also do not go by what the meter reading says. Please be patient till your first service is completed. Then Try calculating the Mileage with the Reserve - One litre Petrol - Reserve method. Mine has run 22000 Kms and giving me 60 on highways and 56 on City riding constantly. During initial days, it gave 32. Wait till servicing is over and please let us know.

17k Kms is not the time to change Spokets or Tires. Do not worry about it.

Please change your Spark plug and Air filter if not done till now. I remember that i read that Spark plug should be replaced by 12K kms and Air filter by 9K kms.

Get servicing done, clean and lube the chain and tighten all possible bolts. Tried speeds of 70+ on 3 Unicorns and everyone of it vibrates after 90. All are of 2010 make including mine.

Please check and update.

Phew! That's a relief ! Apart from this, the unicorn is just flawless to ride.
Haven't faced any issues as mentioned on the forum such as cold start problems, bike behaving as if there is no fuel and other.
Moreover, my unicorn starts in the second or the third kick in the morning. No drama

The condition after a 50 km ride in the rain was worth pity. Dirt seeps in all places impossible to reach.

Btw, here is a picture of her after a detailed wash and a coat of wax.

In the second picture, what are those tubes besides the mono shock. these just end up below the bike near the centre stand.
