Can anyone confirm the size of the stock bolt as I suspect a local mechanic might have switched it during the last oil change causing the leak?
CBR250R's indeed is a 12 mm bolt with a steel washer that goes along with the bolt. If you have leak, changes are it can be due to prior owner torquing the bolt too much, stripping the threads, and the rethread has been done to 14 mm. Use a bigger washer that fits the circumference of the 14 mm bolt and see if it arrests the leak. Also, do look for any cracks or M-Sealing around the drain bolt casing periphery. Usually a stripped thread is pre-cursor to a cracked crank case periphery. Observe closely and see if the above trick arrests the leak. You can also use Teflon tape around the threads for extra safety if it still leaks.

    Good luck. Hope it helps.

    Cheers!

After years of wanting to buy the 250R, I have gotten my hands on a 2011 model in Red Colour. It was sparingly used by the previous owner mostly due to lack of interest and him being an older gentleman who prefers the riding position on his Enfield. It has clocked less than 14,000 km. in the past 10 years. But it is definitely not up to the mark with some body panels being broken and needing replacement (previous owner claims the bike slipped on the side stand in the garage). I want to get it properly serviced and get everything checked including the Valve clearance and timing. Can anyone recommend a trusted mechanic/ASC for the CBR in Delhi/Ghaziabad?

That's about the right time to change the rotors, for a good life. Rotors like brake pads wear out depending on the way they are used, conditions they're subject to and basically normal wear and tear. I've personally seen rotor wear out as less as 25k KMS and some rotors upwards of 40k. If you see swirl marks coupled with circular steps on both the rotors, it's time to replace the rotors.

    Cheers!

Amaron is what suggested by most of the owners over Exide.

You can consider Exide, but I would strongly recommend Amaron. APBTZ7L, perfect fit for CBR and offers great life.

harshil3604, can you please mention the cost, where you've sourced it from and also pre and post installation pics if any would be very helpful to folks.

    Cheers!

Sourced it from local bearing shop and you can even find it online of multiple brands 32006 is perfect size for lower bearing of steering stem it costed me 380rs which is lower compared to online prices and the brand name of the bearing is timken. The upper bearing costed me 570rs which is honda genuine part skf ball bearing, upper dust seal costed 25-30rs don't remember exact amount and lower dust seal costed 408rs. I've already posted the steering stem installed with lower taper roller bearing. Don't have any more pictures but its direct fit without any alterations still if u have any query anyone could ask me.
