Also, I'm planning to get 20W (each) aux fog lights for those times when I take an early morning ride (before sunrise) or am late to reach my destination and have to ride for 2-3 hours in the dark. What is a good solution to mount these aux lights? On YouTube, I found this guy welded a iron rod on the number plate bar (see picture). Any ideas to do this without any modifications?
This video might be helpful to u, u may not need any kind of modification.

posting after awhile..so this is a generic query...last weekend went for a ride with my cousin. Cousin was riding his 14 year old, 50 k plus Honda unicorn. After a while switched bikes and was surprised by how smooth the engine felt, along with butter smooth gear shifts, vibe did creep in but only when getting past 80 kmph below it the unicorn felt as smooth as silk 😋..I last month got my cbr serviced from ass with oil and filter change done but my bike did not feel as smooth. Do note there are no vibrations felt on my cbr even at higher rpms. However the comparatively lesser smoothness of engine made me think If there something that I need to work on on my bike...would be glad if anyone can give some more light on this. I’m using motul 10w40 oil. My bike being preowned is a 2011 model with just 9k on the clock..
Smoothness isn't only bcoz of oil n oil filter change. It also depends on chain condition, fuel, SHIM etc. My CBR has clocked 53k n I changed chain sprocket at 50k for the 2nd time. After it bike was runnig very smoothly. Arnd 48k kms, engine had some knocking sound so chain tensioner n gasket were replaced. Also clutch plates were changed bcoz noob like me tried off roading n damaged the clutch plates.
Just did 200 kms ride on last Sunday n bike was performing superb. Even on 130, bike was like "throttle me more" Even getting FE of 35 with 110-120 kmph speed.

I daily use my CBR for commute, daily minimum of 40kms ride. Today it crossed 24K mark.
I'm using Honda throttle Engine Oil, occasionally used Shell or Premium Petrol from OMC's. During that time there will be mild buzz (not vibration) when crossed 90KMPH.
Using HP normal petrol till date as BPCL and IOCL normal petrol was not giving smoothness of HP

After using Shell Premium for 2 fills consecutively, especially after this service even 100 KMPH is feeling 70 KMPH. Smoothness increased multiple times.

    Hi winturf,
From my close parallel inspection of the pics of CBR250R and new CB300R, looks to me that the bottom end of both engines are same. So my hunch is 95% that the new CB300R and CBR250R uses the same internal specs and seals on the gear shaft seal.

Can you request the showroom guys to give both parts manual and re-check. As CB300R is quite new, you'll have better chance of procuring parts quicker.

    Good luck.

I was able to identify it to be a leak from the counter shaft oil seal (sprocket oil seal as told by my mech) and tried to source the part from service centers in Hyderabad but couldn't find it anywhere and the bike's been lying in my parking for the last 11 days. Was able to order the spare but it's not yet received. Is there any way to fix the leak or if any other bike's seal fits for CBR? Please help me out on this. Also is there any website online where I can source such spares from or can be sourced from somewhere offline or would any other brand's be a direct fit for the CBR?

Unfortunately, there isn't any temporary fix for a leaky seal. Though patches can be done using gasket makers, they won't last long and give up almost immediately. Always replace the seal with a new one. I am sorry, I am not sure which other motorcycle's seal is a direct fit for the CBR 250. But, if you have the seal on hand, you can take it up to a nearest parts vendor and ask for the same seal, chances are you might get one. I have heard these tires last 15-17k kms post which grip decreases.
15-17K is normal for heavy users.

    Let's see how it performs.

    25K+ KMS is very impressive.

You are going for 150/60/17 right?

This was available in MRF Mugappair (Tyre Needs). Mr. Sundeep Charles was helpful.

Whereas stock Zapper S / S1 & FY is available in all MRF Shops for our bike, even that would've costed Rs. 3300 for Rear & Rs 2200 for Front.

Then how was your Massetter performing? Any chances of frequent puncture as the threads are soft?

    PS:
Michelin Pilot Street now available in Amazon for Rs 6900+ for rear and around Rs 4600-6000 for Front. This rates are atleast 30-40% more that the rates before import restriction.

Further new Michelin Pilot Street II is having speed rating of P, which is an downgrade from previous version's H Rating.
