      Update!!!

My bike has reached near to 250 kms in ODO.. Drving in highway is the BEST.. Reached around 140 kmph easily.. And I don't think I crossed 4.5k RPM.. Felt solid and never out of control..

Waiting for the run-in period to get over.. I am not pushing it more than 5k RPM.. most of the times, max rpm is only 4.5k

One thing I noted was, today while coming to office I took the same route that I took on the day of delivery.. and the traffic was more than that day.. and it was also day time today.. But then, I did not feel much heat from the bike! The temperature gauge did not even go above the middle bar!

I wonder why it got full and started blinking on the day of delivery..

One thing is that, on the day of delivery I did not fill petrol. The tank was already filled by the showroom guys(for which I paid at time of delivery). And 2 days back I filled it up extra-premium.

So whether could it be that, the showroom guy filled with normal petrol that caused that over-heating? Or is my question completely noob!? Any advice is welcome..

The day you took it the bike was new , and now you have initiated it through the phases and done some run in of 250 Kms, the parts are slowly getting to set in smoothly. The outside temp is also comparatively less now as compared to a week back, and you are now driving in a relaxed manner, and you and the bike are becoming one...so both of you are going through a relaxed phase with easy revving, smooth gear shifts, and relaxed braking.
I guess it is the reason.....

Hello Men in Jeans and Congrats on your brand new sparkling GT650R
That's the best part of this engine that most of the power comes up without having to constantly having to push it to higher revs.
Since the bike is new you can maintain the RPM needle between 5,000-6,000 revs.
Also one advice would be to off the engine when not in use at signals this would reduce the heat built up.

What is the run-in procedure given in the manual buddy?

Thanks a lot for all the wishes guys..

The manual says, half throttle until 800 kms. and 3/4 of throttle for next 800 kms.. And I am following it most of the times.

@melroy: Yes bro, switching off the bike at signals(that are more than 40 secs) really helps in getting the bike's temperature down. Share your experience man.. Want to compare how your ride is..

I'm surprised to see the bike having been delivered without the dealership in place. I hope the servicing will be taken care of too.
