The tail lamp of the Impulse looks best with lights switched off & the amazing thing is something that is transparent turns red when switched on .

Is it advisable to use fully-synthetic or semi-synthetic is good enough? If nothing worked out, then I will be going back to mineral oil :-(
Dude, why are you using 10w40. Its thicker. Use motul semi-synthetic 10w30

dear i stay in mumbai. kindly tell me which acs you prefer. I head that sound on my bike too but in this second service they managed to reduce it. I would take my bike to a different acs for overall experience. Guys in acs near my place did not wash my bike and lube my chain till i insisted them to clean and lube it. otherwise they are good and ready to help every time.
Archana motors, vikhroli. Search on dis in justdial. They are the best. And a mech named deepak is an impulse expert. Others are good too, but if they have any doubts, deepak comes into picture. It is advisable to go on a monday, and if you are a guy like me, working monday-friday then saturday is a good option. If you want, i can accompany you on any saturday if you let me know 2 days in advance.

            Hi Mayukh ,

Top speed would depend on weight of rider ......isn't it ?

              Dear Folks,

I have been looking for knuckle guards. As you know, the stock ones are useless. I want something that is good and does the job. I am unable to find any leads in Bangalore. If you guys have any info kindly share it with me. Appreciate the help!
              Cheers!

Not exactly, i have done 113kmph alone n the same speed with a pillion. But the top speed depends on wind flow and tyre pressure though.

Can anyone tell me if the paper air filter element on the Impulse needs to be oiled? I've just opened up my bike's filter box and found to my surprise that the filter seems to have a light coat of oil on it. AFAIK, OEM paper filters should never be oiled. Please confirm. Thanks.

The air filter element should never ever be opened except for replacing it after every 15k kms, yes it does have oil but is a zero maintenance filter and so no cleaning must be done cuz if you clean it, you will need to add that particular oil, which you may not have. Its even printed on the box that it shouldnt be opened or cleaned, just replace.
