          Few queries:

          1) What is the comfortable cursing speed on the impulse with stock engine under 85KMPH? anyone of you did modification as far as the front windshield concerns to avoid wind blast?
          2) Anyone tried installing after market big bore kit on impulse? or any other performance oriented parts?
          3) Additional heat shield/ customization for exhaust if any?
          4) Touring ability?

Bought this bike 15 days ago since then I am hearing a sound from the handle or 'T' when ever i hit the speed breaker or a small pot hole. I went to the showroom and told them about this problem, the mechanic told me to get it done on the first service. I went to apex automobiles in patparganj Delhi for my first service i told them about the problem on the delivery they told me that they have adjusted the 'T' I took the bike for a ride in the afternoon to check the sound. THe sound remained the same. I have been to the service center multiple times. But still the issue is not resolved. On top of that the manager says that this is a known issue in ZMR and Impulse and cannot do anything.
I reached out to the query page but nor response. Got a call yesterday from somebody by the name Madhusudhan, mobile number +918860477588. And he said that bring the bike today. Today when I went to show the bike, what he said was really a shame coming out from the manager. You should have not bought this bike how many impulse you have seen on road? Is this the way you treat your customers?
Does anyone has any solution to stop the sound coming from the front? I have already adjusted the 'T' twice but still the problem persist.
Hero is a shitty company and i will not recommend anyone to buy any product.

Damn, so sorry to hear that buddy, well i dont think its a known issue. My impulse never made that noise, wish if you were in mumbai. 8 out of 10 authorised service centres are awesome here and at times go that extra mile to fix an issue.
I had a bad expetience in 1 of the asc near to my place. So thought of changing the asc for another free service, just went on justdial, searched and read reviews and the experience for same issue was 10 on 10. The issue was tapette adjustment, the guys in 1st asc said "sir ye awaz har bike me aata hai, cant do anything" the 2nd asc upfrontly did the job for me and the guy explained in detail what the problem was. Dude, try some other asc.

Even I'm getting such sound in my Impulse and thought it is some , it's the time to get out and find a good ASC and get it rectified.... And trust me it's an awesome bike bro. Hindustani people mentality got stuck in regular commuters so there is no wonder in people discouraging you from getting this bike !!!

Today I went to the Shubhyan service centre (my bike bought and serviced there). The workshop manager Mr. Sagar is a very helpful and knowledgeable person. Till date he has gone out of his way to help me, even with suggestions of which upgrades would be good and where to get them done.
So today when I asked him about the noise from the front when going over bumps, he said replacing the cone set would solve the problem. No spares for impulse (as usual), so ordered the part. Hopefully when it's replaced the noise will disappear.

Good to hear that, will order for for cone set and get it replaced to avoid bumpy noise. But for my bad luck I got my bike from MAX MOTORS which is one of the worst Hero Showroom in Bangalore
So finding a best ASC for my next service.

Tappet adjustment is due to engine sounds. Viks did not face problem with front suspension.

                              • Touring wise Impulse is the best in India due to fine suspensions and sitting position.
                              • you can maintain speeds of 60-70kmph while on highway anything above will cause a lil stress on engine and also avg in long term.
                              • there are many who have done modifications on bike check the thread for more in dept information.
                              • no need of any additional shield for exhaust I have done 390km in day but pillion had no problem with heating.
