I have done 18000kms since last June and no punctures yet. But I am sure that a rock or small stool could be wedged underneath the engine.
No punctures here as well *touchwood* Did find a freakishly large nail in the rubber once but it failed to go deep enough to cause damage. But I still wanted a stand for chain maintenance and front tire punctures.

Thats a lot of kms in less than a year. I've only done 4500 on a August '12 bike.

There is motul 10w30 SS, but i prefer the honda 10w30 FS. Very good for 500 bucks, but needs change at 2500kms

Im not sure about SS oil, but FS last 5k kms. Probably SS might be a bit less.

Hi guys I am planning to get this 2w LED cycle head light for night riding and unforeseeable emergency times. It puts out a good white light of 146 lumens and can be attached and removed in a jiffy at many places on the bike and no extra wiring.

At first seems a good idea. But you might want to consider some points.
In this thread, Bharat has put on pair of 10W Cree leds for around 5-6k. I guess output of that would be at least 300 to 500 lumens.
Whereas you would be paying 2700 for single led with 2W, 146 lumens light which requires battery and you have to take it off your bike when parked if you don't wish to find it missing.

Just completed a 6day 1600km trip on my impulse... delhi-chandigarh-kufri-sangla-chitkul-kaza-rackong peo-narkanda-delhi.... the machine is amazing... especially in the many no-roads stretches it performed better than the re classic 500 ridden by my friend... the suspension is brilliant.... the only issue I had was the breathing issues of the air filter above 8000 feet... I did a Indian juggaad by poking 4 holes in the filter....it behaved ok upto 10000feet.. then poked 6 more which did not help too much at 12000feet+.... so want suggestions on how this can be fixed and also how the bike's performance can be powered up... hv any of u tried the uni airfilter will that help?

Dear all, need your help regarding decision to buy impulse. I am from himachal so the bike will be ridden almost entirely in the hills, mostly single rider with aroung 25 kgs on pillion. I am apprehensive about its pulling power on very steep climbs and high altitude passes. Ive gone through the thread religiously but i am not able to make up my mind. I am sure it will ride ok in the plains of ladakh and lahaul. But i am more concerned about high altitude passes where air is rarefied. pease guide!

                            Hello Dude,
'mostly single rider with aroung 25 kgs on pillion.' - Not getting the point here. Do you mean 25kgs of some luggage on pillion seat ?
                            Regarding Impulse -
If you are looking for bike to ride in Hills area(Himachal), this bike is a good deal because it is particularly built for those places. Simply it is ON & OFF road bike.

If you have doubt in Impulse's engine performance, try out its siblings like Unicorn,CBZ Xtreme or Dazzler. Almost all have similar power output with small changes.
This engine delivers flawless & decent performance in its class (i.e air-cooled 150 cc).

And then about high attitude issues, I don't have much information but still I heard like simple modification in carb can fix this. People who did that mod job can answer this query better than me! I am from South so clueless buddy.
