    • Front Wheel Wobbling

Friends i have a Hero Impulse, since i brought it i always had a front fork problem i used to get cranky noise while on uneven roads and bumpers, but the service center people do fix it at every service but again same problem after 2 or 3 weeks of riding... last week i did a wheel outing or true and even that noise has reduced after titning the front forks, but when i take it hard on corners i feel am loosing balance, it happens even when high speeding as if the wheels are loosing control on the road and wobbling, but when i checked the wheels it tite and perfectly fine.... can anyone please tell me whats the problem here and where should i look for the real culprit? is it front fork issue?? the service guy said the fork bearing is week but can manage for some more time... but i think i should change it... any suggestions???

How much approx do the disc pads, sprocket-chain and conset last? Allthough it depends upon the riding style...still a rough figure would help. !

Okk so the consets wither away pretty damn quickly. My impulse's T is also churning out khit-khat sounds over light depressions even and and its getting pretty annoying now. Anyways thanks pal !

I have heard that in 2015 hero is launching impulse with 250cc engine bigger disc bigger forks and wheels
It might be using the kazima engine

That would be welcome but i doubt Hero wont. Only 250cc scheduled for 2015 is HX250R.

Going by the way Hero has realised how their Impulse hasnt been a success to them and thereafter shutting down the production...i doubt theyll come up with a big cc impulse. Although rumours are around since a while now. Would be awesome for guys whove been plonking in Karizma's engine on their impulse. A factory built like that would be more promising. Although its a long time from now when Hero might launch its big cc impulse.

usual impulse problems - wheels can't cope up with bangalore roads
paid 350 for alignment and also a spoke was broken which was replaced

after all the time ASC duped me by charging for alignment but not actually doing anything.. finally the horrible ride quality is 80% solved but still quite some judders and wobbling remain.. wheels being knobby bounce around a lot and are not smooth.. vibrations all through the rev range and cannot take my hands off the handlebar as bike dips to the right which i suspect has to do with the handlebar

will look around JC road next week for a Givi tail box, a windshield and that pulsar mud flap..

some say tyres are gone, some tell me to do complete truing and alignment

alignment charges here vary from 100 (hero asc - complete fraud - they do nothing), to 200 (typical wheel/puncture shop with an over-enthusiastic kid handling your bike) to a quote i got for 1500 (car alignment shop though i am pretty sure he was exaggerating making it sound like rocket science)

also the brakes have lost bite, rear is especially very dangerous now - it's free play then sudden lockup - any idea how much would replacement of both front and rear pads cost? i have done 22k KM now.

                            to sum it up:

                            1) new brake pads front and rear
                            2) want to upgrade to 55/60 lamps and if possible convert the 'pass' switch to a 'always on' high+low beam switch
                            3) that pulsar tyre hugger trick for front wheel
                            4) a windshield - not a huge-ass avenger one but those sharp, smart ones seen on GS1200R & Super Tenere bikes
                            5) good looking tail box that can accommodate a helmet
                            6) stronger horn
                            7) rim sticker - red

i am looking to meet up people in bangalore who have Impulses, if more people want these things done we have leverage on our side and get things done at lower costs.

really want to revamp my motorcycle.. it runs like it has lost power, terrible handling and vibrations, wheels wobbling, poor headlights, meek horn.. sick of Hero ASCs as they are competent only at fraudulent practices. plz suggest a good service guy who takes his job seriously and will do things like carb cleaning, oil filter replacements, with proper skill.

lots of questions, phew! hoping to get a response
Hey, the play in the rear brake and wobble is due to the dirt that's getting sedimented inside the brake shoe area. Get it removed, scrub the area with sandpaper and fit it back. Then see the difference.

Let Me take back to my story of How I got my CLutch PLate....
So its already 8th of AUgust almost 10+ days are gone no Clucth PLates...

Somehow I was commuting 24 kms per day on my old Activa

At last on 16 August Yes (After 20 days of placing order and 16 days of order being placed by ASC) I went to ASC and asked What its taking them to deliver such small/trivial spare part and he replied "Hero COmpany are not supplying us the part what we can do and suggested me to send mail to all West Zone regional offices asking for clutch plate and gave me Clutch Plate ordered no "

So on 16th AUgust I drafted one mail send it to Pune, Mumbai, Barod and Rajkot Regional offices..

So 19th August I got call from Hero main Stockist of Ahmedabad telling we delivered today(19th AUgust after 25 days of pain in my a** days) clutch Plates...

And start saying we (Hero ) always take care of customer and all blah blah story and gave his number and asked me to cotact him in near future if any spare part requirement for Impulse

At last I got my clutch plate on 19th August cost me around 1300, and 25 working days, 5 complaints on HeroCorp Website , 4 mails to Regional offices and lots of frustration ...

Here is my mail which I sent to Hero's regional offices wich also helped me

Subject :Hero Impulse's spare part not available even after 16 days of placing order for it

                              Hi,

I placed an order for Hero Impulse's clutch plate
                              plate Order No: 11596-03-PLPO-0714-88
at PROWHEELS AUTOMOTIVE on 31st July 2014.
Till today 16 August I did not receive ordered clutch
plate. Its already 16 days no confirm news for availability of ordered
                              part in near future also.
As per PROWHEELS AUTOMOTIVE main stockist of AHMEDABAD
Naveen Auto is not able to send part because

Hero MotoCorp (Company) itself is not dispatching Parts for Hero Impulse.

Already I filed Complaint at heromotocorp.com
No action took by you people on it.

From past 16 days and don't know how many more days
I have to wait for such trivial part of
                              Hero Impulse.

Please take right and rapid action for it
either send that clutch plate in future please keep stock of Hero Impulse to all main stockist of major cities,
                              either Replacing my motorbike,
or reimburse loss I have incurred due to your
                              negligence for your customers.

or I have to file complaint at Grahak Surakhsha Kendra.

Hero Impulse is good bike but very few people
bought it and such attitude remains from Hero MotoCorp
towards already owner of Hero Impulse is not all bearable.

If you cant provide spare part support for Hero Impulse then scrap off that model from Hero's official website and roll back our bikes

Instead of doing huge advertisement for Hero Impulse and start listening to your customer,
we are going increase the number of sales.
