    Hi Impulse Riders,

I am happy to post here,

From 2009 to 2011 (with Bajaj Discover 125) I have Discovered my passion in Motorbiking,
From 2011 to 2014 (with Yamaha R15 v2.0) I said YES to find the answer for my curiosity in Motorbiking,
now from 2014 to ? (with Hero Impulse) May be I like to become a HERO to my Heroine of my Life & yes I have found a right pillion to ride around as a couple.

Adding to the list, I have owned a new Hero Impulse, New member to my biking family.
I hope Bajaj, Yamaha and Hero with adjust each other in my garage with out any parking space share issue.

All owners, Please add your suggestions, DOs and Donts.

I have done all India ride Tamilnadu to Leh Ladakh with R15 V2.0 in 18 days almost 7000+ kms. Now I feel Impulse is very comfortable and the question is Will I able to do such long rides with Impulse?

Congratulations on joining the Impulse family!

To answer your question, I think you can go for long tours on your new bike. But don't forget the adventurous nature of your steed and take it off the highway and into the wilderness, you will be pleased to discover a new side of biking.

All the best, drive safe and don't forget to share your experience with us.

guys asking this for sort of the Nth time

i want to fit tubeless tyres + smart looking alloys + rear disc if possible on my impulse.. it is pretty much un-rideable.. i have given up on it.. hero ASC is clueless how to repair it.
any input on where i can get this done in bangalore?

tried selling the bike but could not due to outside regn. tried selling for scrap but couldn't as well.

Well, its a bad idea to fit alloys on off roader like Impulse. And for 150 cc bike drum brakes are enough I suppose since it doesn't have ABS and traction cntrl.

Its been a week I bought my new Impulse. And its fun riding along with it. Btw full spock rims in black matt looks cool, don't you think so?

mine has done 25000 Kms and three years, the spokes keep loosening up and falling out (yup even on city riding conditions - bad bangalore roads), the rims will go out of alignment every couple weeks, one puncture on a tubed 19" wheel at anywhere near highway speeds and you can see the grim reaper in person (been there experienced that - how much i used to wish for a centre stand)

my rear rim+hub+Spokes had been replaced once under warranty. now even if u wish to purchase, they don't have any parts. i have been waiting for a chain+sprocket kit since a month.

the problem is i use this bike for daily commuting and it's absolutely not capable for it. the seating position's great and that's about it. the rims 'look' cool and thats about it. so even if i wish to discard it as a weekend-morning ride, i need to have good tyres + alloys that can maintain a straight line without wobbling like they are made of jelly

I see, I understand the consequences here. Thanks for making me aware of these issues.

Same here, Faced problems many times. A bike with tube-type tire and without center stand is most horrible during puncture. For spare parts, have you tried Parshawa Motors near JC Road. AFAIK, every time I go there, I was able to get spares from them.

That's great! From where did you ordered that? For your front mudguard no?
Purchased online or from retail shop?

Try using spring washer if it allows to... I recently bought Impulse and haven't received my knuckle guards yet. So don't have proper understanding of how it actually get fitted on bike. But if fastners allows you to use washer try spring washers of same size

It is available from JCmoto - I ordered online. It takes a couple of weeks to arrive..as the product is machined once the order is placed - sort of custom! I am yet to install it for additional support and rigidity while riding city roads - also, as you rightly pointed out, I am planning to fix a mud flap support to it.

hey everyone.. its always nice to come back to this thread and catch up.. interesting stuff has been happening.. Two of my big woes with this bike have finally ended.
                              1. I had a weird knocking sound at about 3.5k on the rpm when i was accelerating a bit hard and a 'snarling sound at 6.5k. My mech has finally (18k on odo) fixed it.. turns out there is some balncer kind of thing below the gear that needed to be changed. engine is perfect now..
                              2. i had been riding without a working HUD for the last 4000 kms.. considering i do highways most of the time, this was a nightmare. no idea of my speed, mileage, time ( ) , distance covered..

My faith has been restored in the Hero ASC. i made good friends with this guy called 'hero' (name changed coz he wants to be anonymous) at my ASC. He saved my life. Hero is one of these guys who is totally cool with mods provided they are done correctly. He is the same guy who fitted my K&N inside the stock air filter box so that the bike doesn't stall every time it rains (shame on hardeep auto for being so lazy). He also rewired my lighting so both my stock yellow light and my HID run on DC and can be switched on the fly. He believes this bike should have come with a 220cc engine and has promised to source one for me (I don't plan to do this for another year at least). This guy does it all not asking for any extra money (except the billed costs for oil changes etc.).

On another note, i picked up the Viaterra claw today. good quality and size. Riding to bangalore tomorrow so will give a review on it after that.

                              Ride safe fellas!

If u r not worried about getting original hero parts, u can chk with indimotaard greasehouse in whitefield.... they will put in good substitutes which are reliable but will be costlier... ping me if u need the number... they also do a lot of mods on the impulse if u r interested....
