Infact I passed through your hometown on my trip to Arunachal!
Thank you bro for the encouragement, I am sure I will make it to Leh and back, God willing. So far in my incomplete research I came across the need to change to a less restrictive air filter at high altitudes, but will let you guys know when I have more concrete data.

Next time you pass through Nadia District, give me a shout, might join you or just meet for drinks and chat.

I know that the production of this bike has been stopped and getting spares is a difficult task. I kindly request all of you to let me know if its a good decision to buy the bike now?
Can we live with the spares problem in Bangalore?
And I think I can get the bike at a very good price from showroom since it will be a 2012 manufactured bike, right?
And I don't believe that hero will launch a bigger capacity impulse anywhere in the near future.

Please share your thoughts and correct me if I've been wrong. Thank you.

I think impulse is a really great bike and despite having difficulty with spares (which can be resolved, mostly) you will have loads of fun on this bike. On and OFF road.

Guys, it's been nearly two months since I began my wait for a carburettor vacuum piston for my Impulse. Then, somebody suggested to try and use the one from the CBZ extreme and thant didn't work and I ended up wasting 560 bucks. It wont work on the impulse. I hear that the vacuum piston from the unicorn may work, can anybody confirm this please? I'm a bit hesitant to take another leap of faith.

What is the exact problem you are facing?

Is there any way to improve the throttle response of Impulse? Quick throttle maybe? Your suggestion guys

Loss of power, engine wont rev above 5k rpm, only go uphill i first gear, top speed is around 50kph

Have you inspected the clutch + pressure plates?

If engine not revving above 5k RPM in neutral , then do check your air-filter. Most probably air intake is clogged.

With so much of dotcom overload these days I am surprised we don't have an online store which consolidates all the parts of every indian two wheeler for retail, I think it would be a big hit. I guess the manufacturers are controlling the flow of spares to keep the price high.
