This mostly depends upon your riding style, if you are jerky rider they wear of fast. But yes the quality is very poor, and the weight acts as a catalyst for early wear out.

Royal Enfield Classic 350: Gift to Dad

            Hi Friends,

I just wanted to share my exp.\ happiness with you all as today I got new Royal Enfield Classic 350. I got it booked(Surprise for dad) on 10th Jan, 2013 but thanks to god as waiting period was only 3 months, however i was equally thrilled. The Manager at Sangam Motors was really courteous and he really had the delivery procedure smooth and easy.

My tryst with Two Wheeler's started right from the day i was born. Though i can't remember exactly but still i hear it from my dad about his first "Yezdi", when he use to ride it with maa holding me in her hands.. But after a couple of years, dad had to dispose-off "Yezdi"... Target was set for me!
Other side i was growing up fast to join the league! Schooling Done, College Done, Extra Curricula

March 15th 2013, Dad got an unexpected call from the Showroom guys about the delivery of the bike. He was shocked as he was not even aware of that, he called me with a question in his mind! Did you booked Enfield? I replied with a smile, its a gift for you dad. He was so happy and was more happy after hearing him on call(since i am in Bangalore) . The wait has finally given its fruits.
And here it is "Royal Enfield Classic" comes home today, 17th March with a roar...
            yippee

But for me still miles to travel to get a feel of it..! Love you Dad enjoy your RE!

I will keep posting his experiences!

                    Re cl 350

                    Hi Friends,

A week ago i have become a proud owner of RE CL 350 (Black), The stunning look and performance is awasome. One thing which bothers me is the absence of Fuel indicator. i just want to know the possibilities to replace the Ammeter with Fuel indicator (CL 500 is having it in the same place). Please suggest me on this.

I too got the bike last weekend, I would rather say reserve is also a kind of fuel indicator saying '' you have left with last ~50kms get to the petrol bunk! ''

                        Happy thumping.

re: Royal Enfield Classic 350 Owner's Review and Experiences

                          Ownership Experience:
I must say riding a RE requires lots of patience and discipline, atleast I felt for myself.
Till date Mid May 2013: i was riding all four strokes - past 8 years and a two stroke for past six months and suddenly
after trying to make a cut with ~2 quintal kgs you can feel the difference.

Problems I faced [I am not against RE products, I myself love bull]
Coming to Quality Product you get:
Broken Speedometer Cable Twice. first 1500kms
Upper Beam not working ~ first 500kms [got replaced in 1st service]
Brake liner got stuck twice in first 1500kms
Paint Quality very bad. - started to peel off on rear mud gaurd

                          RVM's are of no use Especially in the rains and Dark time ;
it appears to be like lightings[from rear vehicles] + water Drops with vibrations :P
                          - ASC guy said no solution for this[- Exp. senior Inputs are Welcome ]

                          Problems from Delivery itself:
                          Incomplete Toolkit - fixed
Low engine Oil Level from the Showroom -fixed
Front T loose - got corrected in 1st service
I must say you should visit local trusted garagewala fellow after delivery.
I have my own since 20 years[for the old bikes, my dad used to go] and now me since 8 years - so he helped me out with this.

                          Seats :
I hate those seats Seriously, they sore the butts of both the rider and pillion ;one cannot continously
ride till 100kms atleast me ,on that what they call seats [will change to electra ones or aftermarket ones]
                          - any inputs on this will are welcome again

Fuel Tank Capacity = 13.5 L [i feel which is Low!]

Did two times Alibag Trip in run in period ~250 kms[both way from thane] each and following are the reviews
                          1. Engine will never let you down.
                          2. Head Turner for sure
                          3. Much more Stable. thanks to Rear Tyre
                          4. Good Fuel Economy
getting ~40 in city and ~44 on highways [i dont drag, always cruise at 60-70]
                          5. Headlights
                          6. Honk. - It irritates people :P ~ though i use it when required [I am against Sound :P]

Overall Performance technically impressed me, though i am bullet lover since school days
But the Cosmetic Quality is below Average, they should think over it.

re: Royal Enfield Classic 350 Owner's Review and Experiences

I have faced this issue, I am not sure if anyone has faced the same.

After ~50-60 kms of running : for rear Tyre , Tube Valve becomes loose[I believe due to Vibrations- not sure], which results in flat Tyre :P. I have checked for any Punctures there are none.

Local Tyre wala said Tube is Faulty, only solution is to change the Tube.

Any inputs if anyone faced the same?

Also please recommend the Tyre Pressure which is suitable for this Season Especially in Mumbai Roads

34 Rear , 28 front is the current pressure i am using. [My Weight is one Quintal ]

Hi friend, there are many who are selling customized RE seats. To name few trusted and renowned ones. Try for Sans Inc. Delhi (Saurabh katar is the person), yo can check their fb page also or Royal Motor Cycle or khazanchi and there are many more. You would get nice looking comfortable seats at a very reasonable price
