Re: Royal Enfield Classic 350 Owner's Review and Experiences

    Hi classic.infinity,

The reason i asked if there are any issues is that i owned an RTR 180 for about 5 yrs before buying the classic 350 and not once in those 5 yrs did any of the bulbs conk off. Maybe i was just used to the quality offered by TVS. No worries. I will have the bulb changed. Thanks for the support.

Informing everyone here that I have completed my first service 2 weeks back but could not update the thread as I was otherwise busy. My right pilot bulb conked out just before taking it to service and I had it changed. CVS motors is going through some expansion and there is utter chaos at the place. Went there by 8 in the morning but my bike was taken for service at 11:30 and delivered back to me by 2 PM. I did not get it washed as I had some other appointment that day. The funny thing is that my left pilot bulb conked out 2 days after servicing. Well, so much for RE'S QA. Is this normal or should I be worried??? Please find the Bill attached for the same.
Have You done any modification, when it comes to electrical? I guess the answer is no, as You have just completed Your first service.
First check if the bulb holder is secure not loose. When going on bumby roads the bulbs can go kaput. If this is ruled out, then make sure if the R&R unit is working, else get it replaced. The buld might be getting more supply than required. I have faced this issue on my bikes and finally discovered the R & R to be the culprit. Please try this and update us.

          DIY - Throttle Cruise Control

          Hi guys,

Wanted to install cruise control to my Classic 350, However those are not available here, Although checked in Karol Bagh however those are required to change full throttle and costed 2500/-, so after watching so many videos on YouTube got this DIY.

Material Required - One cable tie 48"

Below are the pic of installation, This is working like a charm for me right now.

                Hi Rishi,

This is a revelation. I checked and found that the bulb holder is not loose. I'am pretty sure that the R&R unit is working. I will have it checked. BTW a noob question. I'am planning to change the silencer for a better thump. I checked with a couple of local mechs and thay said that I should wait till 3000 KMS before changing the silencer. The Re service center says that I can have this done immediately. Which of these is true. Awaiting your input on this. Thanks once again.

Hi friend its nothing to worry about I have a C5 and also faced this problem once just remove the secondary drain plug the gaskit inside must me displaced get a spare gaskit from RE showroom or shop before opening so as if its cut you can change it. Tighten the plug nicely but don't over tighten it. And always maintain oil level if oil is more in engine that may also cause oil leaks from here and there enjoy riding...

I have the same doubt too. I heard a Lot of mixed opinion regarding this.

I think I had replied for this earlier also in this thread, nevertheless. Complete the running period of 2K properly and you are good to go with silencer change safely. No need to wait till 3K. BTW I had changed it at 1600 kms on my Bull

Had a freaky incident yesterday. My C 350 has done 43k + kms with almost no issues. The chain sprocket lasted 42k km and it's the same with battery. It's been running butter smooth and giving me a healthy mileage of 40-43 on highways.

Coming to the incident, the rear brake has been making a squeaking noise for couple of days and when I did a hard break it actually stopped suddenly as if the tyre is locked. But I didn't thought of it at that time. Yesterday while going to office the bike halted suddenly. Luckily no other vehicles where tailing me. At first I thought that the chain is broken. But found that intact. Realized that rear tyre is jammed and then I loosened the brake and tyre began rotating.

On inspection I found that the nut connecting the brake shoe plate and swing arm has broken away and sad thing is my swing arm was also bent at that point( so much for the quality of nut and bolts used in one of the most important and most used part of bike )

Managed to ride the bike to home without applying the rear brake and removed the shoe plate and swing arm. Have given the swing arm to a lathe to fix the bent and purchased a new shoe plate. It will take a 4-5 days to get it back from lathe and till then it's rest time for the bike.

Had it been a busy traffic or if I was speeding, certainly I would be writing this from hospital bed.
