    Hello,

As of 12th March 2014 my Bull has completed 1000 KMS. Feeling estatic about this achivement. She has been relatively niggle free all this time. Hope the same continues for many more years to come.

    The first achivement

Guys, need a help for a friend.
Tried searching the thread but no results came up.

A friend of mine has a Classic 350 with him.
The bike is not used daily, maybe once or twice a week or so. And now he needs a new battery, I thing the stock one is dead.
      So his requirments are
      * Maintaince free
*Must be able to use electric start
      *No leaking should be there.

Now i did do a bit of research, found that only Exide is having the stock 12V14A rating , but it requires maintaince, and then comes the Amaron range , but the rating is 9A IIRC, so the electric start option might be a bit risky so will the headlights.

So what option do we have here. Any help from both Amaron and exide users will be much appreciated,

P.S: If you can include the model no. of the batteries it would be highly appreciated.

      Cheers

        Hey guys
        Just completed a 1000kms trip..
        I'm having a small query.
After idling my bike after the ride I start hearing a rattling sound from the engine.
        Is it normal??

          Hello Team,

Need your assistance with another query. I would like to change the stock 60/55 bulb on my bull with a philips blue vision or Oasram night-breaker bulb. I understand that the bulb is of H4 type. Can you please suggest a more powerful bulb in the same 60/55 Watt range. Can I keep the same holder or do I need to change to a ceramic holder. Awaiting your input.

          Regards,

          Shravan Kumar S.

Don't even think of doing such a thing. Dealers generally charge 2k more in cash and deliver the bike. But, 15k is way too much and i suggest you to stay away from this. Tell the showroom guys that, you will pay the amount immediately (if not taking on loan) and they will give you the bike within 10 days.

                  Cheerz!!
The real beauty lies in throttle's twist!!

Headlight can be replaced, Head cannot be. Wear a helmet.

                    • How to ride a Classic 350

Hey guys after a lot of waiting I got my classic delivered on 14th may. This is my first bike so I don't much about biking or bikes.
Actually I had to go 40 kms to get my classic and while returning I was riding it and that spoiled my mood.Actually when there was no traffic,i was riding the bike very well(don't know on which gear)but the moment when any hurdle came and i had to slow down my speed,my bike used to stop and same thing happened when i had to wait in traffic queue the bike used to stall.Because of this i had to start my bike for about 50 times. So after that i contacted one of my good friend he said that i don't how to properly use clutch gear and accelerator and he also said that as i had to start the bike several time my battery got little bit discharged. So,I want to know that how can I learn to ride the bike properly(i cant take help of any of my fiend,I want learn using your suggestions and internet? And as this is the run in period what precaution should i take?

                      THANKS

                        Approved and merged!

Ideally, you should have learnt riding a bike while you were waiting for your classic. One can learn anytime, but then since you're new to biking, you'd inadvertently put the engine under load at times.
I'd still say, learn on a lighter, less powered machine first and then move onto your classic.
                        Got a $5 head? Get a $5 helmet.

                          Hello Everyone,

It finally happened. My first upgrade to the bull after having it for 5 months and 2300 KMS. Got the WB (Wild Boar) exhaust fitted today. Cost is 2400 for the exhaust and 150 towards fitting charges. I got the exhaust from Sandhya auto spares J.C Road. I checked with them and they informed me that there will be no issues with the engine post the silencer change. Comments from Bullet experts are welcome. Please enjoy the pics.

                              Hi Temuchin,

I have been riding my Bull since i fitted the exhaust last Saturday. I for one like the thump. It is very bassy. At 40 to 50 KMPH the sound is like a normal Bullet. Kindly note that I twist the throttle a little (maybe 10 to 15%).

If I want a more bassy sound a little more twist to the throttle and the job is done. I have also noticed that my Bull now gets to 80 KMPH more faster than before. I'am not sure if this is psychological or indeed the case. Maybe Bullet experts can pitch in.

One thing is for sure. I'am in love with the sound. As far as exhaust change is concerned the opinions are varied. Some say that we must never tamper with the exhaust and others say that nothing would happen to the engine. I'am requesting for a more clear picture from Bullet experts on this. Hope this helps. You can check this link for the sound. (Royal Enfield Classic 500 Desert Storm fitted with Wild Boar Silencer - YouTube).

                              • Classic 350 my "Kaizer"

                                My looong buying decision process:
It all started about 3 years ago in 2011 when i thought of getting a second hand bike so that my 2009 unicorn would not be used much. I guess i always wanted it to be as good as new. So my search started for possible second hand bikes and thoughts of restoring a Yamaha rx-100 to its former glory came to my mind. I started visiting mechanics and looked at various alternatives and then my then girlfriend and now wife tried to convince me to drop this idea cause i never had the money or the job to finance such a restore. With a heavy heart i set this idea of mine aside and continued with my life. Every time a restored 2 stroke passed by, my eyes would be fixed on it and i saw my dream going away with it. In 2012 I got a decent job and some money to indulge in my dream. My unicorn was now 3 years old and i thought of replacing it with something more powerful.
I always aspired for a ride that would take me places at considerable speed. I used to love my unicorn and i always thought that taking it over 50 kph would stress it out too much. I mean no offense to a machine that is capable to doing much more that I could ever dream of doing. my dream was rekindled in early 2012 when my friend bought a stunning red and white version 2.0 R15. I took a 100 km ride on it. I just loved the way the bike performed and handled. It was the answer to my life's dream of going fast without stressing out the engine. R15 is not for everyone in terms of comfort and I was among those unfortunate ones. I came back home and told my wife about it (I married in Jan 2012 and its repercussions would come later in this thread ) and I convinced myself to choose my body over the fun element that R15 would give me. Then I heard that Honda was launching the CBR 150 and all my expectations came down to it. I am a lecturer and one of my students bought a Black and white CBR 150. Test drove it and I found that though it never had the performance of the R15 (no offense to CBR owners. Its just my naive perception) but it had better ergonomics. Finally I had found my bike. Now it was time to convince my wife about it and took my wife on a test ride. She didn't like the high seating position (she would have killed me if she sat on the R15) and said "No". My dreams were shattered again and I started to look for other options. I showed my wife the Duke but she didn't like its seating position either
I was sad and depressed that my body and my wife both took a dislike to what my heart said. Then one fine day when I was sitting at my friends home and someone brought a old bullet Electra. I sat on it for fun and found it surprisingly easy to sit on and my mind suddenly said "boy go and book the bullet and your dreams would be materialized." So jumped on to the Royal Enfield bandwagon and booked a classic 350 in September 2013. I told my wife that I was going to book a bullet and she was taken aback that 5 foot 4 inch 65 kg idiot is going to buy an elephant that he wont handle. Still she didn't resist, maybe she was just fed up of "find my dream bike" nonsense. I just took a test drive for 1 minute of a classic 350 owned by one of my students but I didnt find anything special and I went ahead with the booking cause I have no other bike to buy.
I'll share my buying and ownership experience in the next post. Thank you guys for reading my long post.
