    Hi Everyone ,
Probably my first few posts here at XBhp, elated to be a part of this unimpaired brotherhood

I am holding up in Pune and am waiting for my bird to arrive . My experiences with Enfields to be fair so far has been extremely astonishing. A mix and match of happy moments where the old world Bullet was the first bike I snooped from my uncle's garage and learned to ride or the sad moment where I thrashed that beauty in a wall ! :banghead:
Yup I was stupid enough to do that , though wasn't spanked for still being a lad.

I started riding with Yamaha FZ-16 and never thought I too will ever crave to be a part of these metal herds ( no pun intended )

And yet here I am, after doing about 1k on my friends Desert Storm waiting for my Thunderbird.

I couldn't get my eyes off Flicker and was the only colour I ever wanted . Went to couple of dealerships here in Pune blabbering that Thunderbird 500 does not come in Flicker . Agitated , the very next day couple of dealerships promised that they can arrange me one , that too in mind whooping 15D
    Days

A good friend was too buying a classic 350 and insisted we should get one the same day . Crazy stuff I know

Just out of my miserable laziness went to Kings Autoriders Wakad , an Enfield dealership being less than 3 KMs from my crib asking why don't they get me a flicker 500 when other dealers in pune can ? Big mistake trust me. The sales agent ran a few calls and ASM for Pune , that's what he said confirmed that he can arrange a flicker .

Great, booking done with 5k 20th March'16 Flicker 500. We were told that Classic's delivery may take some time so we might have to wait by mid April , fine by me.

21st April, I went there to have an update on status , and to my surprise I was being forced to opt any other colour as apparently MR. ASM is not picking up their calls
    Seriously Bruh !!

After a while, and a bit of me sharing with them my piece of unfragmented mind
, I was told that I may need to wait as they'll need some time .

After a list of followups and number of tweets written to both Mr Lal and RE official page , nothing happened. Yup not even a reply .

Last Thursday, 05 May, 16 they confirmed with ASM that he can get a flicker and it would be fine if I initiate a payment of 50k to well ...errr... book the bike ?? :what:

Anyways I made the payment along with my Classic 350 bud and have been told to wait till May 20th to have it delivered.
If they can't get Flicker now , guess will settle down for lightening

Hope the post sales won't be this exhaustive , I'll love to keep everyone updated .

    Till then Cheers

Just got to know using Colin with micro fibre cloth is a great option for cleaning, specially the stone color.

            Try it guys

              Hi Everyone,
Well the bull is home , has been two days and I am trying to find any occasion to take it out for a run .

The delivery was happy ,although I was not allowed to test run the bike before delivery ! Sad

I am absolutely astonished with the stability it came with in rains and gravel .

The bike seems to have 3 problems , I am looking for your advice how best to deal with them .

              1. The bike gives a small metallic sound on hitting the fiber speed breakers at an appreciable speed of close to 30-35Km/hr same for large potholes , and my premise sure has a lot of them.

              2. The fuel cap seems to have a small gap. This morning while on side stand was able to smell petrol fumes coming out of it .

              3. The most heart breaking one, this morning there was a constant chucking sound coming out of the front .
My guesses were either the front fork or disc. With speed increased or reduced the sound frequency changed accordingly confirming the disc sure can be the culprit here.

I touched disc to find it hot enough to get my finger blistered. Closely looking I guess the break pads are constantly in touch or maybe the casing .

Not sure will run to workshop tomorrow. Have to ride about 36 Kms back home , hope not to find any catastrophes .

Congrats on your new bull! How long did you wait for it's delivery?

                1) Check if mud guards are loose

                2) Sometimes while filling tank, little droplets fall out and upon tank, that may have caused fumes.
If water gets inside tank from that hole then it will cause greater problems in future. So it would be better to get it checked with service center.

                3) Never touch disk breaks or exhaust or any suspicious thing directly, most of them are extremely hot. Before touching anything bring your hands near them(not touch them) and try to feel any heat emissions. If they are hot then wait for a while to let them cool down.
Sometimes due to over-heat, discs get locked. But that only happens in case of extreme heat not average bearable heat.

                  Hi Kush,
I had to wait about 50 days to have it delivered .

Went to service station, the problem was coming from front axle and not the discs !
                  Reliever Indeed

The re-greased the hub and axle , seems to be running perfect now .

                  Thanks for the replies

Depends on throttle input. Usually i reach 0-60 in about a min using up all the gears. Never tried to do it in 1st or 2nd gear alone as the bike is still new.
