Re: Kawasaki Ninja 300 Ownership Experience
Looks like the Kawa-Bajaj split is already in effect. I went down to KTM Mekhri circle to show my mother the Ninja 300 and the boys there told me that they aren't taking bookings for the Ninja 300 anymore and that it's "stopped". Anyone else seeing this ?Don't matter what it is: Touring; Racing; Commuting. All I know is, I belong on the saddle.

Re: Kawasaki Ninja 300 Ownership Experience
Same here! Expect a new Kwacker specific showroom soon somewhere near my house. Though I just went there to ogle at the beauties, I was shoo-ed away when I said I want it in 4-5 months and I want a TR.Originally posted by madhav766 View PostLooks like the Kawa-Bajaj split is already in effect. Re: Kawasaki Ninja 300 Ownership Experience
I called up Khivraj Kawasaki and they too told me the same thing - that the Ninja 300 wont be available for at least another 4 or 5 months, even for purchase. That is really weird. :/ I finally decide to buy the bike and suddenly it's not available anymore!Originally posted by Divya Sharan View PostSame here! Re: Kawasaki Ninja 300 Ownership Experience
Checked with one of the guys in indiranagar showroom and he said they're getting a new N300 in Jan due to changes in emission norms from bs3 to bs4. He's not sure yet if there'll be any other mechanical changes or even if abs will be made available on the new bike. Hopefully we won't have to wait for too long.Originally posted by themachinehead View PostThats strange. I bought it one month back. Delivery on the same day.

Re: Kawasaki Ninja 300 Ownership Experience
The bike already meets Euro4 norms. It has 2 catcons and a semi closed loop EFI system. The bike is virtually identical to the one sold in Europe, the only difference is the ECU and the maps there in.Originally posted by Abhi_55 View PostChecked with one of the guys in indiranagar showroom and he said they're getting a new N300 in Jan due to changes in emission norms from bs3 to bs4. Yes. I called KTM adyar showroom in chennai regarding booking of ninja 300. I too got the same reply that due to Kawasaki-Bajaj split, they are not taking any bookings. One guy had already done the booking and awaiting the delivery. But he had to cancel it as there is no delivery possible. He suggested me to wait until end of January for clear information.

Re: Kawasaki Ninja 300 Ownership Experience
Tiruchi KTM dealer has told me sometime back that he has one 2016 model in stock at Madurai show room.Originally posted by madhav766 View PostI called up Khivraj Kawasaki and they too told me the same thing - that the Ninja 300 wont be available for at least another 4 or 5 months, even for purchase. You may like to check with him directly if you need it badly.

Re: Kawasaki Ninja 300 Ownership Experience
hi guys, i have a peculiar problem. both my front shocks are rusted (spot rusting, like small small dots of rust) as a result, oil seals start leaking almost immediately after replacement. while this is not an issue to the shocks themselves (thank gawd for non USDs) the fork oil seeps down and gets on the front disc and braking performance is majorly affected. Now, KTM service told me i would have to get the chrome plated pipes replaced. which will 1. cost a bomb 2. take a lot of time. any ideas on how to get around this problem?

are u sure about the different ECU? because i remember having gone into KTM service a month after buying the N300 for an ECU unit swap, which was a global recall, due to some issues with some bikes in Sweden/Norway having trouble starting in the cold weather. india is such a small market for the bike that i doubt they have a special ECU exclusively for us...Originally posted by abhimanyu31 View PostThe bike already meets Euro4 norms. Re: Kawasaki Ninja 300 Ownership Experience
There isnt any other option but to change the forks. Sometime back, someone else had come to the SVC on a KTM 390 with a similar problem and had to replace the forks. Fortunately that chap's bike was covered within the warranty period, but he was sore at the USD fork setup on the bike. You could check with Motozone if they have a used pair of shocks, in which case your cost could be lower.Ride To Live
