Kos you should see if pulsar 200ns/rs200 fork tubes , they are also 37mm, heard that the height is also same.
    Try for it.

That's called pitting. There is some juggad that you can try: (use araldite clear instead of super glue)

You can also check with local machine shops that do fork repair if they can suggest some cheaper fix.

You can try getting custom made spacers. Though it involves some homework to be done, extra fork oil and the right spacer too can do the trick. The easiest would be use a thicker grade fork oil from the current rating. Ninja 300 uses 316 ML for a fork oil change to 372 for complete dry disassembly. Coming to the W ratings. Though the CBR has a w10 grade fork oil, I presume the Ninja too has 10w. Try using w20 with an added 10 ML extra, so 316 to 320 ML with w20 grade, should make the thing stiffer.

        Cheers!

You have no choice but to change the inner tube, else the oil seals will keep leaking. No matter what you try other than changing the tube, all of it will be temporary solution. It is best to clean the inner tube with soft damp cloth every morning before you ride.

guys i live in mumbai and wanted to buy a bike.
my choice were the benelli 300 and the ninja 300
I dont want a bike thats too aggressive on its riding posture as i tend to get a backache.
need a bike that fits my body perfectly as im 6ft tall and have long hands and legs which caused a big issue in the apache that i own now.
i dont do track days or tours so easily.
maybe once a year for 150kms max.
The service cost should be too damn high.
i mean nominal service charges because i have to thandle my other expenses too
want a premium bike feel and a big bike.
want something thats a head turner too
moreover mainly i need COMFORT for me and the pillion that i ride with daily to work with.

some say the service cost for the ninja 300 and tnt 300 can go upto 7k.
but could you guys please confirm that and let me know what would be the actual charges?
moreover i can at max stretch my budget to 4.23lakhs thats for the ninja 300
the benelli costs here on road 3.85lakhs.
could you please help me with this confusion and sort it out for me.
and i didnt like the duke390 or the new upcoming bikes.
hence chose both these bikes listed above

also yes i tend to get a wrist pain riding my apache which i surely want to avoid.

I dont know if buying a bike based on service cost alone is the right way to do it. Anyway , It has been discussed multiple times on this thread . Ninja doesnt have free services and attract around 800₹ for each service as normal charges. Rest are for oil and oil filter. 2.2/2.4L of whatever oil you use and ₹634 for oil filter and thats it. You are done. For wear and tear parts again, its pricey, but nothing out of this world. I found it OK for the unmatched quality it provides. Please go through the thread to get all your answers. And Benelli 300 also has a separate thread where I believe everything has been discussed.
Ride, ride and ride.. But always do it responsibly..

Going by your requirements, you should consider the cbr250r and paint it lime green!
                    Coming to the N300:
Labor charge alone for a service is around Rs.1500 (heard from a n300 owner a couple of months ago), Oil per litre (fully synthetic motul 7100) is ~825rs (multiply by no. of litres required) and finally the oil filter. And svc will also add other charges such as 'chain clean/lube' charges, consumables, tax..
And if you want to use the 300v oil, that's around 1100rs per litre.
So do the math for a regular service i.e. bare minimum.
now if you need to replace consumable parts, e.g. brake pads, again they cost much more than their desi counterparts.
You could also go and find out the prices for services and spares at your dealer and then decide if you can afford it. I've seen folks who fork out the 4L for a n300 and then cry when it comes to paying for spares and accident damages.

The bike though is a gem and I think the price tag it commands is almost fair .. (of course who doesn't want lower prices!)

And the Benelli, I wouldn't put my money on it.. just doesn't inspire the confidence in the product or the service and doesn't justify the price tag for me.

R3 can also be considered! Do change the brake lines to steel braided in non abs bikes, helps a fair bit!

The stock tyres on the ninja are just as poor as the Yamaha R3.
It scared the hell out of me 3 times already in 2 months.

It will last slightly better than Metz, but Michelin is the king of life here. I liked the metz and Pirelli over Michelin. But the pricing factor and life makes Michelin the best choice IMO

My riding buddy has the Rosso 2 installed on his Thruxton R which has lasted 9000 KMS and is now due for a change. He has opted for the M7 Metzler.
