Contrary to the popular myth, decoring the exhaust will lead to drop in performance. This is because the when the catcons (there are 2) are removed from the midsection they leave a large empty cavity which leads to loss of velocity in exhaust gases. This loss of velocity hampers the scavenging of exhaust gases leading to a drop in performance.

          Hi Guys,

I own a 2015 Ninja 300 and planning to change the brake lines to HEL steel braided from tube type. Can anyone here provide feedback if they are using the same brand brake lines?

Soo in these cases is it better to go for a slip on or get a fuel controller for the control of flow of these excess gases. From experience I can say exhausts increases low end torque but drop in top end on the stock ecu.

              Dear all,

I have been a silent spectator from the time i joined this forum, which was during the latter part of last year. Always been fascinated by Ninja's, read through almost all the threads i can find regarding 300 and it has been a wonderful experience altogether with lot of learning and experimentation.

To add on, bought a pre-worshiped Ninja 2014 model and the ownership experience till date has been fabulous with sheer fun and pure adrenaline rush

However, like all vehicles there comes a time when certain mech/non-mech parts start to wear out and needs replacement. I'm in such a juncture and trying to source these parts from Kawa service center has not been very fruitful with undue delays. I recon this has to do with their recent new tie-up (Khivraj and Kawasaki) and break up with Bajaj franchise.

Hence need some help or guidance to source few parts for my ride.

              1. Throttle Cable (OE set - Main & return)
              2. Handle Grips (OE set)
              3. Air Filter (OE filter)
              4. Mechanical seal of Water pump (OE Part# 49063-1055) - this seal prevents Coolant leak as well as coolant getting mixed with oil))

              Tagging @Ivin @abhimanyu31 @chinmayakar

Thanks all for your help in advance!

              Cheers,
              Queensyrche

I am from Calicut basically, but now in Bangalore. I will tell you a better way of what to do here. Speak with the service manager there. Make sure he understand your need here. Since Bangalore showroom and Cochin showroom is under the same management, it will be easy for them to procure parts from Bangalore showroom than we go there personally because the last I heard is that Kawasaki are in a situation now where spare parts and service are taking care by themselves and hence they might need a month or two to settle down. Even I had mailed them a month ago regarding the same, contacted their fb page, their toll free number etc for which none responded. I had a clutch cable with me which I sold to a friend in need. Both the accelerator cables will itseld cost around 3.5-4k and you might have to pay an advance to get it delivered to you. And for you, I am calling Kawasaki Bangalore from morning and they aren't attending the calls. I dont know how they are planning to get things forward. They aren't customer friendly, nor I expect them to be. But in India, one blame and its all gone for them, which I guess they fail to understand. The customer service mails were the last hope and they fail to acknowledge it , and its really really annoying after they went from over 300 showrooms(KTM's) to just above 10 showrooms and they do nothing to update the current customers , nor update the site with the current line up. Such a lazy movement from them.
Do let me know the updates after speaking with the manager. If its available in Bangalore and they cant courier it to Cochin, I ll get them and courier you personally. But I really doubt they will have anything.

Who all have borne the brunt of crashed and broken oil pan?
The whole corner of the oil drain screw got ripped off due to an underbelly hit. Confused whether to repair it or have a new one..
Kolkata Kawasaki don't have any part of 300. Bangalore Kawasaki was surprised to hear of so many damaged oil pans, no stock at present. They can however courier it when stock arrives. Haven't spoken with any other Kawasaki.

                          .
My oil drain screw was damaged due to similar underbelly hits a couple of years ago but continued to do it's job. I got mine changed about six months ago after waiting almost ten months for Kawasaki to supply the part to the SVC.

Thanks Ivin for taking the pain to help me out here

In fact i did speak to the service manager in Kochi as well as in Bangalore around 10 days back; unfortunately they do not have these parts readily available with them. I have placed an order for these with the Kochi sc and according to them the approximate time to procure these range from 3 weeks to 1 month; which i definitely do not buy, since i had requested for brake pads, throttle cable & air filter in my initial order which was placed during the first week of March and they are yet to sort this out. In addition to this, i had placed a second order for the Mechanical seal almost 10 days back and my waiting days continues...

Another query, do we have a trusted source i.e. person /company /website from where we can procure the required parts instead of running around these kawa sc guys. I know it is a huge ask and not a great way from a monetary perspective; however we can opt for this till the time the kawa sc guys sort things out at their end. Your thoughts...

You can contact Vikram at Motozone in Pune / Mumbai who specialises in the N300. Most of their stuff is after-market performance parts, so you should be better off paying the premium. Motozone have an FB page so you can check it out for contact details.

In fact i did speak to him few times regarding these things; unfortunately he doesn't have certain parts readily available and need to get it sourced from Thailand. However all these comes at a very high premium when compared to Kawa OE parts
