  • Re: Kawasaki Ninja 300 Ownership Experience

Few pics from one of the recent ride with fellow rider buddies - which included an R3 (running-in).

For the first time in 10k of riding, tried V-POWER of Shell. The reviness of the engine was much faster and speeds came up relatively much faster from the word GO !!!. Mileage did take a small hit in this trip - 26-27 kmpl against 28-29 kmpl (my avg mileage so far per litre of normal fuel)

First impression- R3: IMO what was clearly obvious was that R3 has a BASSier exhaust than Ninja 300, looks smaller and felt smaller as well. Actual performance difference/similarities could not be commented on. I would have to wait for that. Anyhow few snaps from that ride

A small ride over the weekend to Lonavala. It was good to meet like minded people. Had fun after a really long time. Looking forward to more rides with the team. Sorry for not so great photos. All we were interested in was ride and none of us were in a mood to pose for the camera.

Ninja 300 owners, Need some questions to be asked.

How will be ninja 300 support for 500 kms/6 hours drive?

I know this bike is a sports bike nature, How good is in long distance/touring?

What's the mileage on highways? Below hundred km per hour & above hundred km per hour?

        Anything i missed out?

Ps: Still i don't know the difference between long distance & touring. Coz i have been a city rider till now.

The ninja is actually a very good tourer. What do you ride now?

Does anyone know about the continuity of N300 in India?
As per some sources, production of N300 stopped and Kawasaki would be bringing up something in its replacement. Might be the ABS version, or might be something different altogether!
The showroom here even stopped taking fresh bookings. Initially didn't believe the showroom guys, but later it was confirmed by a well placed bajaj employee!

So in case I'd be interested in the Ninja, would you say I should hold it off? Not yet decided between the RC and Ninja yet though, but am going to make a booking by 20th, so should I skip the N300 in that case or maybe wait it out a bit? Would just be curious for your opinion

Ninja is a good sports tourer. 500 Kms/6 hours is nothing on it. I have done Mumbai to Goa and back non-stop without any issues. Bike holds up fine. No reliability issues what so ever.

What i was afraid was the split handle bar & sporty position would take a toll on the spine when you travel that kinda kms.

Sorry to shattering your myths. The 2016 Ninja green would be coming in these changes.

Nothing above is coming to India apart from that meter. What is shown in the pic is a Special Edition 300 for MY16. What we Indians will get is the new meter design. Theres also a full green Ninja for MY16 . Check Kawasaki Japan website.
Only a white line on the fairing is the one we 'might get'.
Also, the Pearl stardust white has been removed from all over the world. Kawasaki India might remove the colour from India going forward or might bring in the full black.

Also all Ninjas have been updated with the colour that was introduced on the New ZX-10R.
And this coloured 300 also isnt coming to India.

Only the full green will be updated unless Kawasaki makes up their mind.
Last year this time , they updated with the 2015 model and I had to wait a little long get my hands on her. So maybe the same situation is going on now. If u check zauba.com again, you can see N300 is still imported as CKD with 40 of these coming in each lot from Thailand.

The only difference is the design and fonts used on tacho. A very Visual change which according to Kawasaki helps to read the tacho better. And thats it.

Hmmmm that can't even be counted as an upgrade, I don't think the white and green fairing looks that great really, but of course, in real it might be better. I'll talk to the KTM guys at the showroom and see if they know anything...
