engine oil contamination with coolant can happen due to a blown head gasket.. not necessarily a leak in the radiator.

i remember reading somewhere about this juggad method to find if the engine oil has coolant mixed into it.
Firstly you may notice this if you find the oil to be milky (something like a light chocolate milkshake color)
Next, is the actual juggad: (you will need some aluminum foil or better one of those aluminum foil parcel boxes, and a flame source like gas stove)
ride for a cpl of minutes
take out some engine oil (5-10ml) from the bike -- don't ask me how (i do it with a syringe and a catheter)
now place the foil over the stove and get it heated up real well
drop little engine oil onto the foil
if it contains 'water/coolant' you will see that it bubbles/sizzles (what happens when you put water on a very hot surface or in hot oil ?)
if there is no 'water/coolant' in the oil.. the oil will just smoke off without a sizzle

              Hi
I have booked a ktm 390 here in Hubli. On road price is 215900. But the dealer is asking 2500/- for PDI. Is it mandatory or is he taking me for a ride? If it is not mandatory then to whom should I escalate the matter to?? Need ur invaluable inputs asap.

              Thank u.

PDI does not include any extra fees. It stands for pre-delivery inspection, i.e., list of checks to ensure that the bike is performing properly before handing over to customer. Escalate it to ktm through mail.

Is ktm booking transferable from one showroom to another? ?

Wow 2 lakh 15 thousand? It cost me 2 lakh 7 thousand on road. Of course prices vary per state. I don't know about you man but PDI was free for me. I paid nothing more than the price of the bike and a nominal fee of 1500/- towards registration. Hope this helps. Cheers😊

I don't think so but you should best ask the showroom itself.

Only if the other showroom is of the same dealership. Otherwise you will have to talk to your showroom manager.

PDI or Pre Delivery Inspection is free. Ask him what is he giving for the 2500/-? Cannot think of any accessory/warranty that you can get for 2500/-.
Escalate to KTM by dropping them an email if you do not get the answer.

Also 2.15 sounds a bit high. Be sure to check the complete invoice before you pay, considering your dealer is asking money for PDI.
There is no better therapy than riding a bike down a straight road at full throttle with the sound of the engine for company.
