Uh no ................. The fee is towards permanent registration and its the rto agents fee. If I pay this ktm does the reg for me. I don't have to do the run about. And 1500/- was included in on road I mentioned earlier.

Why do you want to pay 1500 when it can be done within 300 bucks and half an hour of your time.Originally posted by Balgi View PostUh no ................. Did it before for all my other vehicles man. Didn't want the hassle. The rto in my area is super crowded you see. And I would have ended up spending not one but close to three hours waiting in line. So 1500/- and 10mins=problem solved.

Ex showroom price for Duke 390 here is 186000/- How much should I be paying for TP and insurance? Any idea? Coz the showroom guy is quoting me 192600/- for TP and insurance. I stay in Karnataka, state of tax gods. :banghead:

Hope this helps i picked up a quote cpl of days ago, in hyd the 390 is approx 2.09 plus the optional reg charges. Btw karnataka has the highest tax rates i guess which translates to higher on road price.Originally posted by sharathchandra View PostThanks Balgi. Well friend, that was the rate from two months ago so I wouldn't know. And higher tax rates could explain the high on road.

(the duke has shot up by 15k ever since i decided to pick up one, couldn't put in the money thenOriginally posted by Balgi View PostWell friend, that was the rate from two months ago so I wouldn't know. anyway here is the price list from hyderabad:

the rc200 to me seems a total waste of money..(maybe that's why they haven't even received a display piece yet
) no abs nothing, while the rc390 seem to be worth the money

which area rto ? I was told the khairtabad rto is a little 'strict' compared to kondapur .. (i was having an issue with address proof and asked if i could give them a notarized affidavit like i did for my prev bike and the showroom manager told me the khairtabad guys r now cranky lol and may not accept it)Originally posted by Balgi View PostDid it before for all my other vehicles man. So when you paid the 1500, did you go along with the showroom guy/agent or meet the agent at the rto or did the showroom guys themselves take it and get it done (i don't like this last option, since i hate giving my ride to them guys)

Re: KTM Duke 390 - Owners Reviews and Experiences
The bike when I bought had a rattling noise coming from the tank.took it to the service center yesterday and they fixed it (almost). After coming back to home.. I just happen to see the coolant level on the bike and it was Min. mark.. (it was near to max mark at the time to delivery). started to look for any signs of leakage or some clue. found some sort of seepage from the left side of the engine from two different places.. where two pipes were connected.. immediately called service center guy and he asked me to bring the bike.. after inspection. he said that its not the coolant.. its the engine oil seepage and its a normal issue and nothing to be worried about. and said that it can be fixed at the time of first service. However.. the coolant disappearing is still a mystery.. it was topped up by the service center guy and asked me to keep an eye on it.
My bike is just a week old bike and less than 300Kms on odo. is this something I should be worried about?
Has anyone of you faced the engine oil seepage issue from the left side of the engine? any possible explanation for coolant being disappeared?Last edited by Dimpy; 10-09-2014, 08:15 AM.If you have never done a mistake in your life, it means you have never tried anything new.

Tirmulgheery rto man. Its a bit freer now and less crowded. I just got a call from the showroom to go to the rto and I went. 10mins later agent showed and told me to bring the bike, sign some electronic form and then I was on my way.Last edited by Balgi; 10-09-2014, 12:49 PM.

Bullshit man. Tell the service guys to rectify the oil leak now coz its not normal at all. And coolant might have gone into the engine oil which is bad or it means there's no distil water in the radiator. Don't simply accept anything these "assemblers" say coz they know jack shit. Trust me

Re: KTM Duke 390 - Owners Reviews and Experiences
Hey guys. My friend got his duke 390 delivered today. Noticed a few things in that bike. Its is a oct 2014 manufactured bike. His engine was silky smooth, clutch was extremely light. I also found the engine burst to be a little linear and not like a hooligan like mine. I also found an extra mud flap in his bike near the rear suspension and his rear suspension covered in some kind of plastic. Very neatly done by ktm. Wondering if i can get this mudflap separately for my bike. Here are the pictures, you can see the difference easily.Thanks.

Even my bike is also sept mid. manufactured.. it also has same mud flap.. not sure about the power delivery compared to previous manufactured.. but the sounds much more smoother than day one. and sound has also changed a bit.. gives more deep soothing grunt.. also i heard that they hv reinforced alloy wheels and the raditor fan design is also changed.. to be very honest.. when the fan turns on.. i hardly feel any difference.. but in dead traffic jam and if im wearing shorts.. that is when i feel little heat under my thigh.Originally posted by Saba View PostHey guys.
