Ok thanks, i will ask him to check with the svc tommorow and post what the svc says about the bike.

      A pic would have helped.
First take a few pics, post them here.. and do hear what the svc has to say. if necessary drain the oil in to a relatively clean container and take a pic of it too.
also keep the pics in handy in case you need to email ktm.

For now, keep calm and get it checked at the svc.
Yes it was cloudy, the oil was also slightly green in colour. Forgot to take pics. He is going to svc tommorow, will post what the svc says tommorow. Thanks.

Get radiator thoroughly checked. Get cylinder head cover oil seal checked. Don't forget to take 500ml extra oil from them as this will be left over from oil change. They make you buy 2ltrs but fill only 1.5ltrs. Stand next to your bike and watch what they do. Don't take no for an answer. Ask them questions (this scares them into doing a good job). Get all complaints attended at once and check everything twice. Don't leave the bike with them, book your service. Hope this helps. Any additions from other members welcome.
        Cheers

Me too facing the issue of engine oil seepage from gaskets at right side
Apparently, the tolerances were not right. The are going to replace the gaskets and add in extra seal in warranty
Also fork oil seal is broken and to be replaced.

Hey guys, does the duke 390 lock on the right hand side? Because my friend's duke 390 doesnt lock on the right hand side. When i enquired the svc, they told me that the latest bikes do not lock on the rhs and the old bikes lock on both the sides. Is this true? And my bike is 5100kms on the odo and the next service is due at 6000kms. My bike's engine oil is at low level and both my brake pads are worn out. I have also planned for a 2000kms road trip on friday and i still have to ride 900kms for the next service. My doubt is that Can i get my bike serviced before 6000kms? Will the svc accept my bike before the due kms? Thanks.

I think in none of the dukes you can lock handlebar on the right. Atleast mine cant.

Regarding SVC, I dont think they would have any problem in accepting the bike for service earlier than the schedule, doesnt make sense why they would even say no.

And are you sure the brake pads are worn out? How did you conclude that, is the braking poor? Few people have done 15k+ kms without any brake pad change. Mine is 10.5k and still good to go. Though its not expensive, if it really got worn out so early, there might be some issue with the calipers or something.

I will check with the svc about the lock. Yes,they are totally worn out and the braking is very poor and i should ask the svc to check the calipers. Thanks.

Just got my bike delivered. My first impressions - The seat is wider than what I am used to on the R15, so I guess it will take some time to get accustomed to this, also the riding position is much upright. I felt windblast beyond 90kph, but it was quite manageable. Didn't take it too high as it is in run in. The bike generates a lot of heat, I guess this is quite normal. The heat is very evident when riding in traffic. Handles like a dime, quite as much as the R15 if not better. Suspension seems to be stiff, but I'm gonna keep it at that as I don't want to mess up the handling by softening it up. Taking it to the nearby twisties this weekend. I'm very excited about it.

I got my bike serviced.. had already made a list of things needed to taken care and they have.. Bike is running like a Gem now. heating bars have also less.. its showing 1 bar less comparatively..
Engine sounds smoother.. and more torque-ish (im not sure if it is my mind or bike power has actually improved). Suspension has been set to soft settings.
Will take it out on Highway on this saturday.
Overall pretty much happy with the service. Will have to see if the seepage has been stopped. They said that they have fixed it. Costed 1923/- total.
p.s: I bought the left 500ml of oil that was left. I did not have to ask for it.. they only gave it to me.
                      Thanks for your inputs.
@Balgi My plan is to visit Hyderabad in near future. Can we meetup?

Congrats bro. Enjoy your ride.. mine is also 15days old. got the first service done. its an amazing piece of machine. Can you check if your bike has a small plastic flap at the rear suspension to protect it from mud?

Yup. It has got the plastic flap near the suspension.

Does newer batch of bikes come with a plastic casing over the rear suspension? Am confused. Can anyone clarify on this? Am getting my bike in the second week of November.

Typical old racer - you wobble when you walk, not when you ride

None of the Dukes lock on the RHS. In fact its one of the basic things the mechanic explains while giving the delivery of the bike. You can always take your Duke for an earlier service than the scheduled service interval. Also, get your brakes checked as it does not make any sense for the pads to wear-off so soon.

I don't think its a plastic casing covering the shockers, but, a small plastic shroud that extends from the base of the shocker and over the tyre.

Yes sir, newer bikes (i think from september) come with a plastic flap that hangs from the under body and also a hard plastic cap on the lower half of the rear monoshock.
It's true for both the 390 and 200, I just checked it yesterday. there was a bike that did not have it, and i was told that is from August (which i almost booked last week.. yesterday i checked and told those guys that i will picking up the newer one lol.. even manager was not sure about this difference i think lol.)
