Did it folk! Finally got my 390. Been smiling like a retard for the past 2 days now, except when am on the road, then am grinning like a maniac! Have named her Dizzy.
Anyway, I do have a few niggles:
1. There seems to be a rattling from the headlamp assembly or the visor. Not a biggie.
2. The radiator seems to be blowing more hot air towards my left leg than my right?! Might jus be my mind playin games wi me or else it's the fan blowing out in that profile. Gonna check it out when I get my service done.
3. Seems to me the brake pads are touchin the discs in resting position. Is that normal for a ABS bike? Cuz its seems pretty odd to me.

Gotta say though guys, the bike is brilliant! Expect a more detailed report and pictures soon.
You can prise these keys out of my cold dead hands.

Congrats. For your new bike , I too got mine a week bike. I'm too faci g that rattling sound from near the headlight section . Asked the service center boy about the sound he said its the radiator fan sound, so now I'm waiting for the running period to complete so in the 1st servicing will ask him to solve that problem.

Dude, the rattle is not from the headlamp assay, its from the tank cap lid (one that sits on the key hole and from the radiator covers so check that.

The radiator fan is actually offset to the left and also left side has more gap than right. On long rides it'll blow hot air directly on your left heel.

No its not normal but it is because of the ABS. The calipers need to be freed and appropriately lubricated and also tell svc guys to bleed the brake callipers as air blockage seems to be a common complaint or else your pads will last only 3000kms as opposed to 5000kms as per the owners manual.

Lastly congrats on your new bike, I've completed 6000kms+ on my bike and I still grin like a maniac while riding and smile like a retard when I'm not. Happy riding and hope this helps. : )

The dealer slashed the price after some haggling. Now the ex showroom price with TP and Insurance is 191173/-. Earlier he had quoted 193000/-. Thank u to all x'bhpians who helped me with my query. 186000 is ex showroom, TP 1000, Insurance 4173. I have asked for delivery on November 10th.

Should have gone towards the 20th of the month. You would have got spot delivery. Trust me on this. But good to hear about the booking and I'm glad I could help. Welcome to the duke brotherhood. 😊

Hmm. @Siddhant Mishra: I'm pretty certain mine isn't from the radiator. Gonna have the radiator checked anyway, sometimes it doesn't change the fan direction when I stop and drop into neutral. Balgi:You might just be right about that tank cap bro. Since I've only been hearing that sound at certain rmps I figured it would be a reverberation at screw connected parts that are getting loose but that would hold true for a hinged part too I suppose. Gonna pay closer attention this evenin.
Ha! I knew I hadta be right bout the calipers! Dashed service center is bout 70 kms away. I was planning to get my first service done at 500 kms instead of 1000 kms anyway. Wanna change my engine oil and get my brakes adjusted at the soonest.
Also, has anyone tried the ktm power parts articulated clutch lever or for that matter any articulating clutch lever? Any clue on availability and costs. Am currently living in a small town in Northern Bengal, so I'll probably have to order it anyway, lookin fer a good price. Though I can feel my left hand gettin stronger! :P

Congrats Ayush on getting the beast!

You feel more heat on your left leg because of exhaust header pipe and its normal, nothing to worry. Rest of your queries are already answered

Hey guys. My friend got his duke 390 delivered two days back. It is 300km on the odo.He noticed the coolant drastically reduced within a day. When he enquired me about it, i checked the engine oil window and i found the engine oil in green colour. I immediately called the svc and told them the issue and they asked me to bring the vehicle tommorow morning. I just wanted to know what problem would have caused this to happen and what repair the svc will procced with? or should i ask my friend to demand ktm for a new engine? Thanks.

Simple man. The oil seal seperating coolant from engine oil is shot and so the engine oil mixed in the coolant. Do not ride the bike like this as it will destroy your engine. Instead call svc guys and tell them to come take the bike themselves. If they refuse or make excuses throw a complaint to ktm and they will take care of the svc guys. As for demanding new engine, though its a hassel it must be done in this case. Cheers

If coolant mixes with engine oil, it would be milky/cloudy.. i do not think it will be green. unless they filled up coolant instead of engine oil in the crank case.
A pic would have helped.
First take a few pics, post them here.. and do hear what the svc has to say. if necessary drain the oil in to a relatively clean container and take a pic of it too.
also keep the pics in handy in case you need to email ktm.

For now, keep calm and get it checked at the svc.
