Hello everyone i have been following this thread from the start.. u experts give solutio to every query.. im sad to say that my ktm duke 390 got stollen by giving ad in olx.. its only 8 months old.. me and my family would be grateful to u all if there is anyway of getting my best friend back.. i got this bike after borrowin money from my friends..now im doomed & hurt to unimaginable extent..plz help sir..

How come your bike got stolen by giving add on olx? Did u mentioned your address in details while posting advertisement.

no sir just the location of my locality.. he called me asked for the meeting point.. i gave him a school DAV address .. it was 4:30pm at school & very busy with parents and students leaving.. he asked for a test drive i sat behind him & then suddenly he pushed me down & ran off with the bike everyone saw the scene.. even the school camera got it.. here is my bik pic sir if anyone can help me plzz..

Sad to hear this.
Never give bike for people to test ride on their own, specially when the medium is online sites.
You can put a post here with the picture of the bike and also say the registration number so that the members can keep a eye out for spotting it, also your contact number.
But the main thing is to report to Police(which you might have already done) and then initiate insurance process for compensating the loss.

The pic is hardly visible mate, try to upload from a desktop computer /laptop. Make sure the reg number is visible and also post your contact details if you are comfortable with it.

sorry to hear your bad news but also sorry to say this but
if he stole it then he might already have sold it
if the camera got a pic of his face u could report that to the police n give us the number of the bike and we will keep an eye out
if he called you from olx then u might have his number report that too the police too

i fabricated both the seats.. spotter to find my bike

mohammed sir i have completed all process in police station & insurance office.. its been 2months after the incident.. i have the thief photo & the phone no. also but still the police wont find him.. my heart hurts every day why the police cant find him.. they are willing to give the NTC but refusing to search the bike.. a lost mobile phone worth 5k can be found easily.. but not a 2L bike.. if someone steals ur bike or ur exlensive car there is almost no chance of recovering it i think...

and why are they refusing to search for the bike
file a complaint against them
its their duty to help us citizens
the guy would have already sold the bike to someone else
just post your story n pics of the pics on all the duke n ktm india pages on facebook and everywhere
let everyone know
and hopefully u will find your bike
no one can keep a bike offroad and hide it
it might be on the road somewhere
and u will definately find it
post the pics of the stealer too
have faith bro

u can get a new bike but u can never get inner peace.. my whole family loves my bike .. i feel like i lost my best friend forever.. every morning i wake up i start to think how much i miss him..

After i did my investigation i found close to 9 duke 390 got stolen in chennai alone in the same way.. and many other bikes ninja 300 , cbr 250r .. i know how much hurt all the owners would be.. these olx people dont even verify the buyers who call u.. lets say someone post an ad for their fridge ,washing machine, bed what do u think will happen.. i dont think its safe to post ads and invite these organised criminals to our doorstep..
This s my life experience .. be safe with ur bikes everyone install gps tracker,alarm system , disk locks ,even a sprocket lock would save ur valuable friend..

Sad to hear about the incident.
You have the number, you have the picture, you have the school cctv footage of the incident.
Just file an FIR and leave the rest to police.
