Had to go to SVC as I had minor fall.
Here are the pics you asked for.
Thanks for the effort. Hope the fall was minor. However, I had actually asked for this page. But never mind. I will go to the SVC in a couple of days and have a look at the parts list myself.

That way it wont squeak, nor will it permanently seal it, as silicon comes off easily.

        Any other fixes?

I have the same issue, whole lock rattles with the gap between the hole.
Can you suggest exactly which silicone/product to buy to fix that? And whether it would be available in hardware store?
Do let us know if your fix has worked!

From the parts list it seems only 4 things that needs to be changed and rest remains the same.

The parts list snapshot in which the comparision has been done, two separate service manual has been compared. Its not needed. The new manual has the comparision of MY13,MY14,MY15.

help! Rear tyre is almost bald.

Metzs seems to be running on lean stock in Bangalore. I got a quote of 12K+ for rear Metzs, and Rs.6700 for the mich pilot street (from tyre track). I feel both are overpriced. Can anyone guide me to where could i look for better rates in Bangalore?

Also, was at the autoservice, Banashankari to get a fallen bolt replaced, and got to know from the head engineer that they getting a lot more RCs after its had an accident. Wonder if its the bike or the nut on the bike?

BOLT: There is a bolt that is used to hold the plastic chain guard + slider to the swing arm. In my bike, it had fallen off, must be due to vibrations. SO i had gone to Autoservice to get the spare bolt fixed + chain cleaning and lubing while i was there.

While at the service center, during general chit-chat, was told that a lot of RC are coming for repair job, after meeting with accidents (close to 11-12). Accidents were not as much when duke 390 was launched. So the general feel was that RCs were much more appealing to the younger college going folks, and some of them may not be used to the power delivery, leading to crashes. Personally i have not yet sat on a RC, so cant comment on how it behaves and handles in various situations.

I have similar views regarding more RC accidents here in hyderabad. Most of the RC owners are college students, some of them don't even have licenses.
I feel, one needs to be matured enough to know when to unleash the 44 horses and when to keep them under control.

I see most youngsters without helmets, feel pity for them and their parents. Similar case happened here when pulsar was introduced. Disc brakes were to blame then. RC handling is very different than duke. Duke handling is more like a commuter. But a full faired sportbike is altogether a different machine. If something suddenly stops infront of you, maneouvering has a certain delay than a commuter where the action is instant. Youngster don't realise that and try to impress others in a neck to neck traffic situation. And its then the most accidents happen.

You can try at cherry agencies - JC road or at madhus - lanford road. Call them for the price with installation charges.

I think the new Michelin 150/60 spec Pilot Street tyres should be in stock soon.
I recently got the 110/70-17 pilot Street tyres. I've got about a 1000kms on them so far. They costed me 3.8k(sai iyengars bnglr)
                            Initial impressions-
My daily commute is a mix of highway and city ride. One immediate thing I noticed is that the manoeuvrability had marginally improved from the metz.
However, at high speeds, they do not inspire confidence as much as the metz.
The bike did not feel as sure-footed during direction changes at high speeds. There was also a fair bit of pitching coming from the front which was somewhat fixed by reducing the air pressure to 27psi. I haven't got the chance to take them to the track yet, but from what limited corners that I've managed to take, I didn't feel any difference compared to the metz.
Another difference I did notice was that the abs engages more frequently and much earlier. I never managed to hear metz squeal under hard braking but this does at same speeds on the same stretch of tarmac. I'm yet to see how they perform on the wet.
Though they're good vfm tyres no doubt, they don't offer the same level of confidence that the metz used to offer. Though you may get used to it eventually, initially it felt starkly different to me switching from the metz (after the tyre run in of course). Considering that the Metzlers lasted close to 20k kms for me, I think I could have done with the extra grip on the front. Anyone looking to save some bucks could get the new Michelins or the mrfs for the rear but stick to the metz for the front. Just my two cents.
                            Cheers!
