Re: KTM Duke 390 - Owners Reviews and Experiences
don't consider it 100% rectified. Let the svc know about this issue and make them check it with their diagnostic tool to ensure the fan works according the defined temperature limits. Also just get the fuses removed and reseated.Originally posted by puneetvashisht View Post

It looks like the suspension gave out. Am I right? What suspension was it using? Was it the OE one?

that looks like more of a engine oil spill. oil spilled is around 1 - 2 ltrs.. which is oily engine oil.. however.. bike is sexy anyways.Originally posted by Balgi View PostIt looks like the suspension gave out. I said suspension because I saw the rear of the bike was completely lowered onto the ground, the bike is a lot taller in original pic. The rear tyre was touching the body of the bike. And I agree bike does look nice.

Isn't it an Engine oil leakage? And think of being stranded in a place like that![emoji33]Originally posted by Balgi View PostIt looks like the suspension gave out. Am I right? What suspension was it using? Was it the OE one?Last edited by Arvind Sibi; 10-26-2014, 01:20 PM.

It looks like it was participating in Raid De Himalaya.. It can happen I guess when the conditions are so hard.
Balgi, those are off road suspensions not OE. The OE suspensions are 100% anti - off road

I know right. The horror of being stranded in the middle of nowhere.
. I said suspension coz I saw the rear end of the bike lowered substantially is all. But I don't know what really happened. Can someone shed some light on it?

Re: KTM Duke 390 - Owners Reviews and Experiences
I'm about to get my first service done in the coming week(100 odd kms to go). My bike seems to be after-firing in the exhaust when decelerating hard by closing the throttle. Has anyone else faced this before? I thought maybe it was due to the petrol but I tried filling from different bunks and still it persists(I have been using BP Speed most of the time). Other than that, the bike is running great. Its been nice so far, btw, I removed the tire-hugger, it looks much better now, although a tail tidy would make it even better.
I had the same issue once, the warning sign was on for quite some time and then it turned off. But it happened only once, maybe I didnt fully take off the sidestand. It never occured after that though.Originally posted by tej1 View Posthello guys i just wanted to know
i rode my cousins bike its just 200kms

and i notice on speedometer there was a triangle type sign below the abs sign what does that triangle sign means

My 390 misfires every now and then if I cut the throttle suddenly while accelerating in lower gears, but I have never seen a duke misfire while decelerating.

Re: KTM Duke 390 - Owners Reviews and Experiences
I'm sorry its not backfire/misfire, the one I'm facing is after-fire. Backfire/misfire happens in the induction while after-fire happens in the exhaust. The popping noise comes from the exhaust so it is after-fire in my case. According to GoogleOriginally posted by Balgi View PostMy 390 misfires every now and then if I cut the throttle suddenly while accelerating in lower gears, but I have never seen a duke misfire while decelerating.
, this is caused due to the engine running rich air-fuel mixtures, so some of the unburnt fuel explodes due to the heat in the exhaust, creating a pop. Its not annoying though, but since this doesn't occur in most of the other 390s, I was a bit worried.
@emon1990 gratz on getting your RC390 dude! It looks great. RC was the one I had on my mind initially(since I owned an R15 before), but then I wanted to try nakeds so went in with the Duke. And no offense, but it would be better if you could post these in the RC390 thread, caz posting it here might make this thread go off-topic2013 R15(Sold) | 2014 Duke 390 (Sold) | 2022 Adv 390 | 2022 Ninja 300

Re: KTM Duke 390 - Owners Reviews and Experiences
Again, its not backfiring, its after-fire. You see, the problem is not with the fuel, rather its the AFM(Air Fuel Mixture). I have been using Speed and now even filled up with Shell, I still have the after-fire. The AFM is handled by the ecu, so I guess it can be sorted only by running a diagnostic check. Its not affecting the performance of the bike or such, but unburnt fuel/richer AFM will result in a drop in mileage. Ill get it checked into during the service.Originally posted by emon1990 View PostHey sorry I am kind new in posting stuff here havnt been that active n thanx I shall shift it.
