would the revz s last as much if not better than the Metz?? or the effective cost of replacement to total kms.

btw,6.7k kms and the bike still gives me 40+kpl on highway Speedo indicated constant 70+kph on sixth gear.90kph constant gives between 30-35kpl.mixed normal use have seen worst of 19.5kpl(tankful method). this bike is an ideal 'highway' tourer.the console fuel efficiency calculator seems accurate for highway use.

Hard to say whether it would last as much, depends totally on the use, with the kind of power and lesser grip there are more chance of wheelspin i think(when pushed to its limit, normal city commute and stuff like that should see the tyre lasting just long enough as on the 200), which can eat up the tyre faster than normal.

is revz a harder compound compared to the Metz? honestly track days would be non existent to most owners. plus dealers never seem to have stock Metz.oh btw Thrissur ktm service is just bad.avoid if possible.spares are mostly unavailable. even leg guards and simple common stuff plus staff has a slacker attitude.experience from the past one year.I'm yet to get speed/abs sensor replacement (6 months now almost).the leg guard took 2 months.you get the point.

ot:is the spg chaos boot available@ Cochin? looking for a new helmet as well.

Mets are more softer, I am not aware of the compund type of the revz, but it is pretty good compared to the other brands like tvs or contigos or dunlops, michilin seems to be better than the revz though.

Yesh, track day kinda usage is a bare minimum amount of cases only, but the thing is , it might be cheesy, but i personally feel that the rush you get from the confidence the metz gives, i never expect the michilin to top that or come close, i might be wrong, but there is a reason why metzs are insanely popular around the world and one gets to know that when they shoot through a corner on the 390.

And as far as Trichur ktm goes, I have lost faith in almost all svc from tcr to cochin. Kozhikode KTM seems nice, a friend used to work there and he says the guys there are pretty good.
Anyways now a days the bike is serviced at Bangalore so, its all cool.

Wait a minute , so now you are running without the abs ? How did the sensor fail ? You got some warning on the dash or did it lock up ?

About boots, DJ has the Zeus and highway boots i think , helmet posts let's take it to the helmet thread or you can PM me.

Fuel efficiency figures for RC as also in same range. Doing 80-100 on highway gives 34-35 kpl. I believe coasting at 60-70 kph on sixth gear would give close to 40 kpl but I haven't seen such figure popping up on console. IIRC, the best I have seen is 36 kpl. The bigger problem is however keeping 60-70 kph. I did try that for a few kms and nearly fell asleep!!

Don't get carried away by what the console says t you. Those are highly unreliable unless you are doing long rides , in which case the figures are more realistic.
40 seems to be a stretch in almost any conditions.
Even for the most pleasant conditions like early morning , cold breeze and 80-90 kmph cruising the best is 35kmpl probably.

Went for chain lubing and cleaning yesterday at ktm raipur svc. I also had issues with vibrations below tank region. And you all will be surprised to hear answer of service in charge he said " 390 hai bohot power hai to vibrate karegi hi ( it's 390 it has high power engine so it'll vibrate) ". They even didn't clean the chain properly instead they sprayed oil lube and gave bike to me . I thought raipur ktm svc is good but I was wrong .

Change the svc bro and report this to ktm India immediately. This kind of uneducated answer must be punished.

@ krish2778, abs seems to work. They're changing it for another issue.the display shows zero kph continuously every now and then at good speeds.this is an issue esp when need arises to maintain speed on the highways with all those speed cameras+mobile units.eventually I improvised reading the tiny rpm from the console.@4500 in 6th gear it roughly corresponds to 80kph speedo indicated.
I usually do tankful method for mileage.let me confirm this time as well about the mileage.haven't filled up yet.average mixed use(mostly town) is 29kpl.

and yes, we generally have to resort to arm twisting of sorts to get the job done in SVC.sweet talking/decency(initially) didn't give good response from them

Then a few guys have used the Michilin Pilot street, and the reviews are mixed in nature, though the rear size is downsized by 10 mm, the profile is 10 mm more than the current spec so it takes a similar shape and no noticeable difference will be found.

Okay. I wouldn't prefer 200's tyres on my 390. As it is the handle bar slightly tank slaps because of undulations on roads. I searched the internet and found Pirelli Sports Demon. It comes in 150/70. Any idea how is the tyre compared to the others? And most importantly, the price.

How much does a Metzeler rear tyre comes for?

Somewhere around 9000 for the rear at ktm showrooms.

I think price is secondary and what you should be concerned is from where you will get pirelli at this size in India.

Metzeler rear comes at 8.xx K
