Today I was surprised to see orange color on the chain.
It's been only 6 days since the service (in which they promptly charged me ₹150 + taxes for chain lubrication @ kirti nagar service centre).

I am concerned about the familiar orange shade just like the trellis and alloys paint.
Is it just rust, corrosion or is it actual paint coming off from somewhere?

Somewhere around 1200 on the odo (150 kms after the first service

          Hello,
Can anyone tell me what all sensors are used in D390? What all functions do instrument console or Multi Function Display shows?
          Thanks

If you own a Duke 390, you can check the owners' manual for more info. Quote from memory
            1. High coolant temperature
            2. Low oil pressure
            3. Low coolant
            4. Side stand down
            5. Clock
            6. Real time fuel consumption.
            7. Distance to empty
            8. Hours on the saddle
            9. Gear position indicator
            10. Clock

            11. Sigh!

It seems the orange paint had to do with the chain rubbing the trellis frame. Look for hot spots such as bare metal visible anywhere near the trellis frame near the chain. Else it might have been a clumsy job at the SVC part put paint on chain is one to keep an eye on.

            Cheers!

Installed a Yamaha Ray-z windscreen on the bike. Its a direct fit with the Ray-z bracket. The bike looks kinda cool and more aggressive now i think. It should provide better wind protection at higher speeds than the stock windscreen (havent tested it yet though).

Only glitch is that the bottom covers some part of the headlight. This doesnt make a massive difference to visiblity at night for my usage purposes. Let me know what you think

                Total costs: approx 250/-

                Windscreen : 140/-
                Bracket : 30/-
                4 Screws : 40/-
                4 Clips for screws :40/-
                Cooler looking bike IMHO: Free

Also would like opinions on where the number sticker should go to avoid cop hassles. On the mudguard or the windscreen as stickers. Thanks.

Looks cool. But will not help reduce the wind blast > 120 Kmph.

Yeah I'm sure it won't too. Just like the way it looks on the bike ;-)

As per our great law there must be a number plate in front. Out of the two option I would choose windscreen as number can be seen easily so less cop hassle

Here at RiDE we're on a mission to find the most economical motorcycles. Every machine is tested on a fixed 40-mile loop of roads, made up of dual carriageway, town and village roads, flowing A-roads, tight B-roads and bumpy unclassified lanes. Each bike is ridden to the RoSPA test standard by a Gold-standard rider to ensure consistent, comparable fuel-consumption figures. This is the leaderboard.
