Re: KTM Duke 390 - Owners Reviews and Experiences
Thanks for the update Ankit. Actually I wanted to know this as I saw a lot of around 6 Black 390 2-3 weeks back and dealer asked me to select one from them when I went to discuss on the payment details couple of days back . When I asked if he can get me one from the new lot, he said the lot will be coming this thursday and I can select one from it and pay the amount for further procedure. So I just wanted to make sure if I am getting the bike from newer lot. However, as said if the procedure of alphabets is only for the bikes in Europe shipped from Austria then there is no way to know even the year of manufacture before selecting (It will definitely be 2014 in my case thoughOriginally posted by ankit64 View Post

KTM Vin Number Identification Chart : AOMC Customer Support
It absolutely holds good for bikes delivered in India...I compared the VIN number and invoices of 3 bikes parked at the showroom and the VIN manufacture year was in compliance with invoice.Originally posted by ankit64 View PostAlong with the invoice of the bike, there will be a document from bajaj showing proof of sale from bajaj to your dealership
Before that I am afraid there is no sure way of knowing what's what...
That's how I came to know my first duke was manufactured in Nov '13
The procedure of alphabet 'd' for 2013 and 'e' for 2014 doesn't apply to Indian bikes as far as I know. I read somewhere on the internet that it only applies to European lot shipped from Austria !

Might be a co-incidenceOriginally posted by AkshayA View PostIt absolutely holds good for bikes delivered in India...I compared the VIN number and invoices of 3 bikes parked at the showroom and the VIN manufacture year was in compliance with invoice.
Both of mine surely did not, maybe you are reading yours wrong
My bikes both started with VBK
But neither of them had 'd' or 'e' at the place of year of manufacture for that matter
So bajaj screwed it all up for everyone [emoji16]

Tried everything, but still leaking....will press for clutch cover change.Originally posted by karthik_k View PostTry using Three bond paste. apply thin line of paste to the cap & let it dry for a minute. then tighten it & it should fix it. :-)
Just borrowed them from Dukes there for service for hit and trial, because I had to go on a thousand Km ride on next day.Originally posted by B7ACKTHORN View Post
Just wondering, "used the cap of another Duke" stole them?

You can also look for Viaterra Velox. Recently bought them...capacity is a bit less as compared to Rynox, but build and fit is nothing short of spectacular. Morover, you can tie a tailbag to increase the capacity, which in case of claw cannot be done.Originally posted by addyrulz01 View PostI am planning to get saddlebags for my duke. The options are as follows.
1. Viaterra claw
2. Rynox nomad v2
3. Dirtsack speedbag with the tail bag.
Can you please suggest which one should I go for as I am too confused. Mind says viaterra claw and heart says rynox nomad !

Another plus point it has is that single bag can be used if on a very short trip. Nomad has to be mounted in a pair.
P.S- It has enough capacity for a 4 day trip.

Hmmm. my cbzma was leaking badly, this paste did wonders, not to mention faulty threads in crankcase which won't tighten up fully.
Any way, a case replacement should do.

Got velox recently.... love the every bit of it has to offer. Was talking to Viaterra guys and there is a good news coming by Sep. New tail bag is being designed to integrate with velox with capacity of 30 L expandable to 40 L. Sure to pick that up for long rides 1 week + etc.

Hi guys.I want to change the headlight of my duke 390.I am not looking for projectors or hid's.I just want a stock replacement bulb.I want a bulb with the same wattage.I want it to standout from the normal halogen lights.A whiteish or blueish light would work out.whats the difference between philips xtreme and osram nightbreaker plus? Thanks.

Damn I had the exact same question. Has anyone installed an Osram night breaker plus 55/60 on their 390s yet. Is it a direct fit plug and play. Is it a big improvement?Originally posted by Saba View PostHi guys.I want to change the headlight of my duke 390.I am not looking for projectors or hid's.I just want a stock replacement bulb.I want a bulb with the same wattage.I want it to standout from the normal halogen lights.A whiteish or blueish light would work out.whats the difference between philips xtreme and osram nightbreaker plus? Asking cos I have a spare bulb with me. Thanks for any inputs.

Should be a direct fit considering the 390 also uses a 12V, 60/55W, H4 bulb.Originally posted by The Pain View PostDamn I had the exact same question. Has anyone installed an Osram night breaker plus 55/60 on their 390s yet. Is it a direct fit plug and play. Is it a big improvement?

Re: KTM Duke 390 - Owners Reviews and Experiences
Osram Night breakers & Phillips extreme vision are a direct fit... Reviews say that osram's are better in terms of performance. I heard of few people fined by cops for using Phillips extreme vision
