My MIL always lights up yellow in the start up diagnostic.. but after the ignition it disappears.

Is it something to be worried about?? and twice today indicator showed the bike was in neutral but it wasn't the case.

I have only driven some 100kms. Should I take it to the svc??

Also do let me know which service center should I opt for in Delhi?

Nothing to get worried about as this is how the MIL works. If the MIL is not going off or comes on while the engine is running, then you just got a problem.
If you worried about falling off the bike, you'd never get on.

It is not exactly a Hot/Cold starting issue as it happens randomly.
Sometimes it just starts within ~1-2 seconds of pressing starter and without accelerator while sometimes it just refuses to start even after keeping starter button pressed for 5+ sec..there is usually a blast of air from silencer along with slightly loud sound and i need to give some acceleration along with starter for starting the bike.once started if i cut off the engine and start again,it starts within a seconds and without any extra acceleration.
This is not specific to cold/hot start as in morning when i took out my bike it started within a second but while taking it out from office in evening it took 3 tries of almost 5 sec each along with acc.
It also happens at traffic signals randomly d.
Luckily it happened 3-4 times while i was at Kasturba road KTM SVC but as per them this behaviour is fine and sometimes bike needs accelerator along with starter for the same.
As per them bike is alright as most of the times it starts normally within 2 seconds.Has anybody faced the similar starter problem happening randomly or can anyone suggest me what may be the reason. i am planning to go to SVC this saturday and get it checked again.

I was facing the exact same issue, they checked everything and were not able to find any problem in particular. I visited the asc 4 times because it just pissed me when the bike would suddenly die(It never happened when the bike gets warm) and there on it won't start without throttle input. Then, I made videos using a friends go-pro and went to the svc. They took out the throttle body cleaned it and refitted it properly and bam, the issue is no more.

            Congratulations for the beast brother.

Half fingers gloves are useless if safety is what you are after.

I suggest you buy any of the protective short gloves.

Cramster flux is really good for daily riding, they have other models too.

From what I hear spartan offers best quality, Pegasus looks cool too. There are other retailers too..

Select full fingers gloves from any of these retailers, they offer real protection and look infinitely better too IMO.

I changed the rear tire on my 390 Duke.

Got Michelin Pilot Street for Rs 5500 including Fitting. (As per Michelin Pricing , it is Rs 5800).

Metzler was good and still had around 1000-1500 kms life left. But there is a puncture that happened couple of days back. And it is right in the center of the tire. I did not want to take risk as I have planned 3000 kms ride in few days. Metzler has done 14500 kms before it was changed. 80% is City usage. It did not had single puncture until it rained heavily few days back

Done only around 50 kms since I changed the tire. As per my usage, I did not felt any difference between Metz and Michelin. Probably that is my mind playing. But since I have been michelin user since many years, I can vouch for the good grip levels and especially how good they are on mixed tarmacs.

Surprisingly, I felt the ride bit smoother than on Metz's.

Shims won't cause starting issues normally but can cause power loss and tappet noise while the engine is running.

You are feeling sad just because its the 4th time. You will feel much better as you get used to the SVC visits

One correction there, too much or too less valve clearence can also be a cause for startiing issues.

Do keep us posted on your observations

Moreover, one thing that generally happens on tyre change is that the prev tyre would be close to end of its life thus offering very poor grip so on getting a new tyre, we automatically find it very good. If you have a chance to ride a 390 with Metz in good condition and then ride yours in same stretch of the road, that would be great

The ride feels smoother because michelins filter out more vibes compared to metzelers. This is possible because of the extra bump absorption scope provided by the bigger side walls.
If you can upload a picture of the tire from the rear end. I want to see how it fits. Is it as round as the metz or is a comparably flatter profile?

Thanks Bro. I already have Fieldsheer Apex 2.0 Gloves which I am using for quite some time. I think we get good quality half fingered gloves as well with knuckle protectors and will give protection to some extent. Also, I would prefer using half fingered gloves in heavy traffic as well as in summers.

Rajesh (legend racer) had his tyre changed to Pilot Street and have posted the details with pics. Check page 411

You are probably true. Metz, though at end of its life, still provided good grip on dry tarmacs. If there is even little gravel, it is scary.

Taller side walls yes. It is almost an inch increase in height.

We can come to know the year of manufacture in the following link (Though 2014 is not mentioned, the 8th digit from right should be "E" for 2014) but is it possible to know the month of manufacture by any ways while selecting the vehicle or before taking the delivery?

                                Guys, need a clarification.
Enquired about 390 at three showrooms in chennai, I couldn't find any stock there except probiking at Adyar. Showroom staffs say they can deliver in a day or two but they need to get it from their warehouse. They don't haul it via trucks, instead mechs ride it to the showroom. I saw couple of 390/200s being ripped as if they give a damn to who is going to own it & the halts are all screeching halts. They burn rubber, try to do wheelie from signals etc. They race within their gang, say two or three dukes being ridden by three mechs. I was like, what the he**. Every bike in the showroom has 15-25kms on odo already. When asked, the staff says its testing. They test the bikes for fauklt & repair it so that the customer won't have to report issues on new bike. I'm no way convinced by this.
Question is, do you guys had some kms clocked on odo when you tookk delivery? How to deal with this?
