Re: KTM Duke 390 - Owners Reviews and Experiences
Couldn't go for a high speed morning ride this weekend due to work commitments. Have ridden it at around 110 post the install. There is a huge reduction in the amount of wind that hits ur upper chest. I felt less fatigue on the 50 km ride with the windscreen on. I'm 6 feet tall if that helps.Originally posted by timuseravan View PostResult report please? What was the max speed? Did this make difference for wind blast at 120-130?
Overall very happy with this purchase.

Insurance for tyres will be given depending on the damage to other parts. In my case I got 50 percent for the rear metz as it was shred along with a broken rim. Mine was ICICI Lombard.

I had booked my KTM D390 at Hubli. But due to registration hassles I bought my KTM D390 frm Bangalore (pre worshipped). What is the procedure to cancel the booking?? How much will be deducted as cancellation charges?? They r saying that 3k will b deducted. What should I do?

Yeah 3k sounds about right. When did you book the bike? If you cancel within a week from booking full amount minus very minor processing fee will be refunded. Of course d390 is spot delivery now so cancellation rules may have changed.Last edited by Balgi; 11-11-2014, 07:40 PM.

AFAIK, if temp reg is not done in your name, then, full amount of booking should be refunded. hope you have a copy of booking slip.I'm a responsible rider. It doesn't matter what you ride, but what matters is how you ride.

I have the booking slip. In my opinion they shouldn't deduct any amount as I have brought their product only, that is KTM.Originally posted by Legend Racer View PostAFAIK, if temp reg is not done in your name, then, full amount of booking should be refunded. hope you have a copy of booking slip.

I am observing white smoke (slightly) upon hard acceleration. What could be the reason? How to upload photos on xbhp?? I want to post pics of my D390.

Re: KTM Duke 390 - Owners Reviews and Experiences
hey guys so i currently own a 200ns
and looking for a new bike, i still love my ns, just love riding it in cities and highways too around 120kmph
never really gave me any major issues
now for the new bike
am looking forward to get an rc390 or d390
i ride cities and highways both, good bad roads
am 6'4 feet tall 84kgs, mileage is not an issue.
am a zip zap rider, touring not much, some times 200kms round trip.
comfort is required as am tall and prone to back aches
power is almost the same i guess? i heard the d390 outperforms rc390 in drag? i know top end rc390 is better, but i wont really ride continously over 120kmph
power wise as far as its 390 over my 200 its fine xD
price is not an issue too
but if d390 offers more value for money then d390 is the way to go?
only thing i liked about rc 390 is the looks and design, d390 design looks good enough imo and i dont mind riding it xD
braking is the same so i dont think it matters
i dont do tracks.
i dont really want issues with the bikes
my college is 6 kms round trip and i keep roaming here and there with friends and once a week 60 kms round trip
i couldnt find any appropriate thread so posted here
going to get any of these in jan cause i need 2015 model xD
thank you

Close your eyes and get the D390.. stay away from the RC (based on your needs and physical build, I agree RC looks better but that's about it)Originally posted by mutatedknutz View Posthey guys so i currently own a 200ns

the ktm's are known to have a few niggles and you gotta live with them. also understand certain major parts are expensive to replace (if its out of warranty), but regular spares and services are relatively cheaper and on par with a 200ns.
Why don't you do a few test rides ?Last edited by s1d; 11-11-2014, 11:35 PM.
