Having used Tribocor extensively I can vouch for its longevity. It lasts considerably longer than other lubes out there. It also has the best wet weather performance in my experience. However its one gungy mess of a lube. It absolutely destroys the orange rim and makes it a dirt magnet.
Another economical alternative would be the TVS lube. Decent performance at a price. I am currently using the 3m lube, average chain lube interval has reduced to 300-350 kms but it definitely is easier on the rims.I've also used Motul lube in the past and its performance is comparable to that of the 3m.

On another note, Any else know when the pics and batchwise results for the previously conducted trackday will be uploaded? They did promise to do it within a day.No sign of them so far.

Hi guys I am facing an issue with my 390. Its run 6300 kms and upon riding my friend's bike I sense a lot of difference in pickup. Mostly the lower end. The second gear feely extremely torquey on my Friend's 390 and I sense a lot of lag initially on mine. Anyone had this issue? Is this an issue with newer ecu maps or is something else wrong?

There is no better therapy than riding a bike down a straight road at full throttle with the sound of the engine for company.

Your air filter might need replacing. Also if its new then thanks to the size of the air intake something might have gone into it and could be sitting on the air filter element. That could be causing the air flow to get restricted causing the bike to loose power. Check it out.
Btw how many kms on the odo for both bikes?

My friend's 390 has run 8500 Kms and mine is 6300 Kms. The duke 200s that came out last had a different remap than the ones release in 2012 and the power distribution varied a lot between the two. I am suspecting the same here may be. Can anyone shine some light on the ECU Maps of 390. Has there been any change in the maps from the initial batches to the newer ones?

Regardless of what anyone tells you the truth is There has been no ECU remap for the dukes since early 2013 when the first duke390 was launched.
Only RCs get a remaped ECU. Maybe there is dirt inside your bike's injectors. And please do check the air filter as I'm sure it is what is at fault.

                      Hey Guys,

My ABS light seems to be on and I do feel that the ABS is not working because the bike did a skid when I braked hard. Reading the manual, it seems that the fuse can be gone . I opened the seat and under the seat saw the fuse box for ABS which has 4 fuse ( 15-25 Amps) but did not see a fuse. Neither did a see any additional fuse out there. Anyone faced this issue? should I be visiting ASC?

Keep it simple dude and visit the ASC. Brakes are critical for a powerful bike like the 390.
I think bikes with ABS can also skid. If ABS kicks in you should feel the rear brake pedal vibrate (as it happens to me).
                        Drive Safe.

The ABS light if it stays lit up solid during riding means something is wrong with the ABS functioning.

The fuses itself are missing ?? Are you sure you are looking at it correctly? These are blade type of fuses and not the round cylindrical ones.
If you have the owners manual, check it out to get more info on this.

There are two fuse boxes , one is abs fuse box the other is the main fuse box. ABS fuse box has 4 fuses.. the one on the left and right are the fuses that are plugged in to the circuit and they protect the return pump and the hydraulic unit of the ABS. The other two on the top and bottom are only spare fuses (15, 25A available for quick replacements in case of a blown left or right one)
In the picture below, '1' is the fuse and 'B' is the spare fuse for '1'
a blown fuse looks like 'A' - you need to remove the fuse by pulling it out from the socket.

And in the main fuse box, fuse no. 7 (i.e. 10 A fuse) is for the ABS control unit.

Thanks for the explanation. The fuses are there but I wasnt sure which ones are the additional ones. The image provided by you makes it clear. However, did not see a blown fuse so I guess there is some other issue and it would require a visit to asc.

Better quality pics of the tail tidy .. DIY details below.
                              1. Got a used mudguard from the ASC for 150/-
                              2. Got it cut to a length of my liking along with the inner mudguard (this I did not get a spare one).
                              3. Disassembled the tail that includes the tail light, the indicators and the light on the number plate. All are plug and play with connections below the pillion seat.
                              4. Fastened two L shaped hinges to the last pair of screws holding the now shortened tail to the frame. This would form the points to attach the number plate.
                              5. Drilled a hole in the metal strip that holds the number plate to fix the number plate light with the help of a thin strip and screw.
                              6. Now the number plate is ready to be fixed on to the tail.
                              7. Connect all the wires back and fix the screws and voila.. the duke now has a smaller tail!!
The number plate was done for 150/- INR. The setup etc was done at a local shop.

All in all, am happy with the way it looks and more happy at not seeing the tail vibrate while starting the bikes in the morning.. Will get a mudguard installed soon. Let me know if you need further details.
                              Cheers!

What did you do to fill the gap between the mud guard and the under tail part(area just behind the number plate)..??
