Also, what are the factors that cause more chain slack???? Any driving techniques or so to reduce the occurrence???
Chain slack does occur although I dont know how heavy you mean by "heavy".
I generally tighten every 1000 km.

@mustang28 Do ensure that the engine is warmed up before riding hard. I generally drive sedately (50-60 kmph) for 2-3 mins till the temp guage shows atleast 5 bars.
I have noticed that if the engine is rode hard before being hot, it gives inconsistent performance.
Also your aim in each gear should be to try to redline before upshift - thats the way the bike is meant to be ridden

Every 1000km? Do you get it done at the service centre? By heavy I mean the chain makes a racket.... It gets that loose...

1000 kms is far too long. The company specified chain maintenance schedule is 500kms.

I get it done at the SVC. I oil the chain myself every 500km.

I was hoping to get a smoother power delivery but that's not how it is. The test ride bike was another mythical creature I guess. It was soft and powerful. Mine on the other hand is like a teenager high on weed. 6 months and 2897kms on odo. Service center being 35 kms is another reason I want a switch to another bike now(as in a completely new one from different manufacturer).

The issue is with fuel pump.
Mine had this jerking issue at 4K RPM. Since day one I was insisting to change fuel pump. But Sparkplug was changed, Tank was emptied and dried. Petrol bunk changed (used to fill at HP), throttle body changed.

Finally when fuel pump was changed, VOILAAA!!! it is back.

21,000 KMS you sure are entitled to the privilege of a detailed ownership experience deepak82. Also if you can elaborate a little on the tire prices, the general clan would find it useful.

Cheers!

Once upon a time, a guy asked a girl 'Will you marry me?'
The girl said, 'NO!'

And the guy lived happily ever after and rode motorcycles and watched sport on a big screen TV, went fishing and surfing, and played golf a lot, and drank beer and scotch and had tons of money in the bank and left the toilet seat up and farted whenever he wanted.

Swapped the stock grips for the RTR ones. They're soft and very comfortable. Absorb vibrations to large extent too.

Cost- Rs. 104+60 ( right+left)
Time taken- hardly 15 mins.

The front tyre costed 4100/- and I guess it would give at least 40 to 50% more milage than the metzeler
As I had fitted the michelin 140/70-17 in the rear at 16000 km and at 21k it's as good as new and the performance is as good as the metzelers the rear tyre had costed 5400/-
