KTM Duke 390 - Ownership Reviews and Experiences

    Hi guys, I just got the delivery of my bike d390 yesterday from Vashi KTM. I did pre-delivery checks and everything was fine. I took the bike out and there were no issues on the way home. Later on, when I took the bike our for a spin, the abs light stayed on in the console. I read the manual it says if it stays on even after starting off then it indicates an issue. Should I take it to thr showroom or the svc?

      ABS light is also ON when ABS is switched off so first check its on or off and if its in on state then also light is coming up then take it to SVC.

        Hi,

        Just an update, i just checked a while back and the abs light isn't lighting up on starting off. Ill still show it at an ASC just to be sure. Would they charge me for this at the ASC?

          If ABS is off then the light doesn't stay on, it blinks. And ABS is turned on automatically when the ignition is switched on and it can only be turned off manually.

            The bike is under warranty so no they won't and they shouldn't charge you. I think the ABS fuse is blown. Its under the seat. So go ahead and check it. It'll be one thing off your list.

              I am having a similar issue and visited ASC yesterday. The fuse looks ok and it seems to be any issue with the sensors or with the ECU. The ASC guys did not have spare sensor available due to which the problem could not be analyzed. It seems to be a new issue occurring in duke and has not been seen before. I have been asked to revisit ASC after a week's time.

                Hi guys,

                The ABS indicator lighting up issue hasn't shown up after that one time incident initially. However, I'm seeing engine stalling issue at lower gears and rpm. I observe following issues

                1. On starting up, bike idle rpm fluctuates and then bike stops. My initial analysis was fuel was low or the engine temperature was too low. But both turned out to be wrong.

                2. I'm hearing a "missing" while riding.

                3. This issue is happening only at low gears especially 1& 2. And I'm able to drive without too much issues once I'm above these gears.

                I'm taking the bike to the SVC tomorrow to get the bike checked.


                What could be the probable cause of this issue? Has anyone else faced this?

                  I was also facing the issue in 1st & 2nd gear. I felt like clutch is taking a drag. I got it checked & found that Clutch Bush was mis-aligned. After getting it replace it is running butter smooth

                  Issue fixed under warranty. Zero Rupees Charged.

                          Got my bike checked and it turns out to be a faulty sparkplug issue. Got it replaced under warranty. No charges.

                          Will check for a few days as I have seen stalling issues cropping up for owners after a while.

                            I did not understand your question dude.. But will try to answer from what I could understand.
                            But, both the under tail and the mud guard need to be cut. The under tail and mudguard are bolted together as in in the factory setup.

                            Spark plugs do not go bust on their own.. Did the SVC guy tell you why it went bust?
                            Suggest you change the petrol bunk and the brand you are using.
                            Had a bust spark plug issue and changed the petrol bunk to BP.
