some of the electricals are located under the petrol tank area and beneath the side panels. nothing much apart from the battery directly under the seats. Even the air filter box that sits directly under the front seat is well insulated from water, its just that gap between the seat that allows water to collect up near the battery.

the fuses are located inside a plastic box and i haven't seen water enter that box. its just the area around the battery where water puddles up and if you keep a cloth or documents over there, they get wet.Originally posted by jbm_guy View Post

None to be frank. But people have had very good success using the Yamaha FZ's windscreen. Just google FZ windscreen, Duke 390. This is the cheapest jugaad, all else are pretty much costly. You'll just have to drill the holes on the Yamaha windscreen, Google it and you will get the pictures and all detailsOriginally posted by arjun001rao View PostHi friends
Can I know which bike windshield is a direct fit to ktm Duke.

Once upon a time, a guy asked a girl 'Will you marry me?'
The girl said, 'NO!'
And the guy lived happily ever after and rode motorcycles and watched sport on a big screen TV, went fishing and surfing, and played golf a lot, and drank beer and scotch and had tons of money in the bank and left the toilet seat up and farted whenever he wanted.
THE END

I had the fazer screen on for quite some time. Though its effective but it really makes the bike ugly and so i removed it. May be its just me. Also, one of xbhp members uses honda stunner wind screen which seems to be good match for duke. I think that sudhir prasad's duke.Originally posted by B7ACKTHORN View PostNone to be frank. Fazer one does look ugly. One member used cbr250's and it looked really nice. But it need some modifications.Originally posted by faizan.ali View PostI had the fazer screen on for quite some time. Been using the fazer one for 26000 kms now, without any hiccup. aesthetics is subjective, but to me, it does not look ugly. i have been using it with a metal clamp at the back, and the screen is rock solid at any speed. Recently, i rode to hampi and back along with a bmw GS1200LC from bangalore, and i was WOT most of the time to keep up. The windshield helped a lot deflect wind.Originally posted by anarchy911 View PostFazer one does look ugly. One member used cbr250's and it looked really nice. But it need some modifications.

Re: KTM Duke 390 - Owners Reviews and Experiences
I bought this windshield. A Chinese replica of MRA's Duke series of windshields for 1.5k from eBay.com. Fitting it was a pain as the holes were wrongly drilled, I had to file a bigger hole and had to wrestle to fit it with the number plate clamp. Unfortunately during this process, I lost one nut which is on the console cover. So my number plate and windshield is held by 3 bolts. :<
Need to get that fixed. Anybody know how to remove the headlight assembly? Is it easy or will it mess up electrical lines of the bike?

Removing headlight assembly is fairly simple.
Remove the two screws on top of the headlamp. They are bolted on to handle bar.
Next, remove the plastic hook locks on either side. Total 4. Push the top of the lock down and pull them out using the remaining part of plastic hook.
Hold both the indicators firms and pull the headlamp assembly bit to top and then towards you (assuming you are facing the motor cycle).
Any how, this is how a 32000 KM done front stock metzler looks like.
No able to spare time to get the tire changed.

Re: KTM Duke 390 - Owners Reviews and Experiences
Got the bike yesterday. And I swear it's really an awesome fun bike. Odo already crossed 100km last night itself driving around the open city road. I am just loving it. The thing I was worried before was about the engine heat and it's now completely gone. In heavy traffic it heats a little bit but it's not like how people use to say bad about the bike. It's completely manageable. So far so good. Won't be able to open the throttle till the first service but even till 7k rpm the power delivery is quite good. And it really makes me smile everytime I accelerate on an empty road. [emoji41]Originally posted by rohangk View PostFirst of all congrats on the beast. Ensure that a proper pdi is done( pdi means pre delivery inspection). Pdi list is given a few pages back. Basically check all fluid levels, check no. Of kms run, and the most important check if your radiator fan is working. Personally I think that crashguards would prevent most of the damage to your slide and you wont damage swingarm unless you are in a very serious accident, so I dont think its worth it. Make sure that you keep her under 7.5k rpm most of the time before first service. Decode the vin and check if its a 2015 model. Treat her with respect and she will make sure that everyone else on the road treats you with respect
. P.S- I guess if you use a paddock swingarm sliders are useful? I"m from Pune so dont know where you can get anything.
Do tell me how your first ride goes.
Cheers.

Have burst of higher RPMs. It only helps the engine. Don't baby it too much. And congrats.Originally posted by Lighttrails View PostGot the bike yesterday. Haven't noticed it blowing air away at stops like it's believed to be. Will check and tell later. But one thing's for sure, it works greatly.Originally posted by turbosphere View PostGuys how is the 2015 radiator fans? Heard the new ones are like the rc series I. E unidirectional

To everybody who replaced tyres: Where did you get it changed? At SVC or at the tyre shop? Asking this because I imagine removing the rear wheel and fixing new tyre would require some amount of competence because of the rear disc.
Also, is balancing necessary after tyre change?
May I ask my fellow Dukers one more favour? What is the exact model of Michieln that is replaced on the rear wheel? Sporty, Sport bit confused!!
