Re: KTM Duke 390 - Owners Reviews and Experiences
It will be the same. If its the tire life you are asking about, then the michelin's and mrf's i believe would have same tire life ( i have seen my mrf's and another bike with michelins and the tire wear rate has been similar)Originally posted by jack_daniels View PostCan anybody tell mileage with Michelin Pilot Street or MRF's?

Re: KTM Duke 390 - Owners Reviews and Experiences
I second that. The trip comp shows me using 4.3 Litres per 100Km or 23 Odd KPL when I ride with a gentle wrist and shift up as quickly as I can. When I ride the damn thing the way it begs to be ridden it drops to below 20 very quickly.Originally posted by AngadV View PostIve actually seen as low as 17 in city on a duke 390...

I wonder how do you people ride, I ride in delhi/gurgaon traffic with mix of city/highway.. I never get below 25, Mostly between 25-30 kmpl. I switch gears around 5k-6k rpm. On highway I keep the speed around 80-90 km/h.

Exactly what i was saying if you maintain speed of 80-90kmph and don't redline it you will get minimum mileage of 25 kmpl in city conditions and 28-30 on highway.Originally posted by faiz0210 View PostI wonder how do you people ride, I ride in delhi/gurgaon traffic with mix of city/highway.. Anyone with a Powertronics Piggy back ECU on the Duke 390.
Can you please share the benefits , i did not find much info online.
Also can we interface that ECU with a computer using USB for understanding the charts etc.
I read something about r-tune

I ride completely in city in mostly 1st-gear kind of traffic, very rarely will I get a chance to go to 5th. I do change the gears at 5k-6k RPM and with linear throttling, no matter what, it doesn't cross 25 kmpl in city. Nowadays I'm seeing more 22s.Originally posted by Chandan92 View PostExactly what i was saying if you maintain speed of 80-90kmph and don't redline it you will get minimum mileage of 25 kmpl in city conditions and 28-30 on highway.
On the highways, I have got 40 kmpl riding at 80-90 kph.

40 kmpl shown on MID ? I don't rely completely on the average shown on MID rather I calculate mileage by tank to tank method.Originally posted by Gunslingin_Ridr View PostI ride completely in city in mostly 1st-gear kind of traffic, very rarely will I get a chance to go to 5th. Re: KTM Duke 390 - Owners Reviews and Experiences
Im planing on buying a d390 but something inside me is holding me back..
Im currently riding a 200 ns clocked 89 k on it
So in my little experience. I figured i dont need so much power in the end i need refinement And reliability.
So my question is the duke refined? And reliable or should i stick with my ns till a better option come or should i buy a cbr abs?ZMA-R,FZ-S,HONDA DIO,RD-350(1984)

People says bajaj is not reliable but you have used 200ns and you know bajaj is reliable enough.
There are good service centers dont worry.
And important is that spare parts are easily available at less price than others ... Honda Yamaha..

So my question is the duke refined? And reliable or should i stick with my ns till a better option come or should i buy a cbr abs?Often times again, I come across this plausible question, first off, remember it's not a Bajaj that you're riding, it's a KTM, your 200 NS is a proven fact of KTM engineering. Wasn't it reliable? How many people know the 200 NS/RS. whatever S they are riding, is based off of KTM. Now, I believe your 200 must have exceeded your expectations at least when it comes to reliability. Secondly the Duke's problems 80% of the times are related to poor maintenance, for fill it forget it type fellas, this motorcycle is and will always be a PITA. It doesn't mean it's completely faultless, yes it had its fair share of issues, just that it isn't machine all the time to be blamed upon.Originally posted by Deepak Vishnu View PostThat was what i was thinking.

Once upon a time, a guy asked a girl 'Will you marry me?'
The girl said, 'NO!'
And the guy lived happily ever after and rode motorcycles and watched sport on a big screen TV, went fishing and surfing, and played golf a lot, and drank beer and scotch and had tons of money in the bank and left the toilet seat up and farted whenever he wanted.
THE END

Im very much impressed with the reliability of the ns . maintained it very well. Ran 89 k kms . never left me stranded. And that just helped to settle on the ktm.Originally posted by B7ACKTHORN View PostOften times again, I come across this plausible question, first off, remember it's not a Bajaj that you're riding, it's a KTM, your 200 NS is a proven fact of KTM engineering.
