Its not functional, i did it just as an aesthetical mod, thought to fit powerpart visor but it was way too costly so went for this cheaper alternative. a taller screen form MRA or puig will be functional, but this kind of a screens are required mostly in case of touring.

Hey guys its been a year since i got my 390.. till date I'm still getting this jerky feeling at 4000rpm as though the fuel is getting blocked or something. When i want to ride at a relatively slow pace say at a constant 55 in 3rd 4th gear the bikes fuel injection feels just too snappy and can't hold a jerk free constant speed.

Also i recently got the 3 piece tank pad stickers but overnight the edges of the stickers start coming off. How do i permanently stick them...thanks.

Do not exceed 32 psi on the rear. For heavy weights >80kgs adjust the rear suspension up by three notches.

probably a clogged fuel injector/air filter or a dirty throttle body
could even be a bad fuel pump.
go to the svc and sit on their head to have these checked and fixed up.
Meanwhile if you can, run one tankful with a fuel injector cleaner additive such as Abro or STP.. though be careful and use just around 3ml per litre of fuel.. i.e. approx 30ml for 1 tankful

Try replacing the in-line fuel filter, clean the throttle body, replace the air filter element, if it is still jerky it may be the fuel pump that has gone bad.

if your 3 piece tank pad is of cheap stuff sold in ebay, better remove it and you can install a pulsar tank pad for just 70 rupees. if yours is a powerpart one you can try 3m photo mount spray (which is also expensive) to re glue them.

system G is also a very good additive that can be used for maintaining a cleaner throttle body.

Okay let me try 32 psi, and see how it feels

I have been using the FI cleaner additive from day one. But that jerky feeling is there also from day one. It doesn't happen when I'm riding above 80..it's smooth at faster speeds. Only when i go slow it feels jerky esp at 4k. It feels like it just doesn't want me to ride slow. And if i up the pace everything smoothens out. I'll get it checked out at the service station.

Yeah the tank stickers are the powerparts one. So super glue it?

Ive been away from the forums for a while... any info on the slipper clutch fitment on our earlier 390s??

Same issue with mine as well and it has been there since the start.

better get it checked asap form service center.

we can use fevi quik too, but it will create a mess if not done properly, use a old razor blade put a little quanity of the glue on the blade and slide it under the un stuck area so that the glue is applied at the bottom the tank pad, take out the blade and press the tank pad to stick it. (i ve done this on my power part graphics it works)

i didn't enquire about the slipper clutch buddy, we don't need a slipper clutch for road use as we are not going to do any rapid down shifts to an extent where we may lock the rear wheel, its just an unwanted expense.

My 390 developed this same problem after 6000 kms.

Replaced Fuel Pump, then issue got resolved. I reported this in my multiple posts in this thread already.

Did they do any tests like checking the pressure on the fuel pump to conclude it was faulty ? The engine MIL light, did it light up ?
Was their diagnostic tool (the handheld device that's plugged in to the ecu) used? if so any fault code on their diagnostic tool ?

The d200's mrf rear should last around 15k-17k normally. but the d200's tire is of a lower speed rating, and hence wouldn't be safe if you are going to be riding at speeds in excess of 140's .
this tire doesn't inspire great confidence in the wet on the d200, but might be 'better' (compared to it on the 200) on the 390 in the wet considering the abs the 390 is equipped with.
for normal city riding and highway mile munching (considering you don't run it at speeds greater than 140 for long periods), the d200's tire should be ok.
I ride a d200 and nearing the 11k mark on the odo (with 60% of that being covered on highways), and two punctures on the rear that occurred at around 2400km on the odo.
If only the abs was available on the 200.. i'd be happy to pay 8k extra for an abs vs the equally expensive metzelers.
