Shift RPM indicator is customizable as per the users requirement, there is no constrain that it has to be set at a particular RPM. setting it at 8k - 9k rpm will be good, being a high revving engine if set @ 5k RPM, it will be annoying during spirited riding if the Rev indicator keeps on flashing.

haven't used the michelins, so can't comment on their lifespan.
whenever my bike is going to be in for a tire change, i would opt for the mrf c1's (if i am able to source these elusive tires)
as i said, the stock mrf's i find it sufficient barring the wet performance.. if only abs was available, sigh!!

Guys I'm in a pickle here... need some help..
So my tyre hugger broke off some time last year... and in the process, a nut on one side got broken in half... Half of the nut is still in the swingarm...

I've already talked to the SVC guys, they told me to go to a welder and get it out...
Now I've been to 2-3 welders, all say they can't get it out...

And the SVC guy tried to get out but that left the piece of nut in a really battered state...

My question: Is there any other tyre hugger I can get on my bike? I badly need this!

This is the nut that broke off: (Not my bike. Just an image to show the nut in question.)

During Run-in, the max RPM is 7500, So RPM 1 is 5000 and RPM 2 is 7500 and this is factory setting

m6 size bolt extractor can be used to unscrew to the broken bolt, take a look at the attached image to know how it is done

Go to a local mechanic and ask him about where this broken nut can be pulled out. Lathe/Welding guys do these kinds of jobs
A local mech will be able to point you to the right source.
What is usually done is to weld an extra nut to the broken part and then remove it in one piece using a spanner.
Just make sure they do not damage the swing arm or the brake lines during the welding.
I wouldn't advice you to do it yourself, because you have a very good chance of messing it up further. Leave it to the pro's unless you have confidence in your self.

Hi everyone, I own a duke 390 partially and the new pulsar 200 rs(completely). My question is that can we fit apache rtr break and clutch lever to the duke 390.

I don't like the adjustable ones as most available easily are either flimsy or too color full and costly, I am looking for a cheap alternative. My problem with the stock levers are

                        1) they are huge and ugly

                        2) you have to keep moving the fingers around to find the sweet spot for the clutch to be pressed with ease.

PS : I even own a pulsar 180 dtsi ug4 and it has the same problem as my earlier priced possessions.

Apache Break and clutch lever cannot be fitted in duke, and pulsar's break lever are not bulky either, if take a closer look at the apache levers, brake lever will be thicker and clutch lever will be slimmer (weird design). I myself owned an apache for 2 years and i dint find the levers any comfortable over my pulsar.

If you like the plated looks of the Apache lever you can use a chrome spray over your OE duke levers, Fiddling with these levers may lead to a clutch cable snap, or poor braking performance

Buffing the levers are better than painting. Paint will peel off with use. Plating will give a bling weird look.

Just realized the same Lingeshsaikumar, After posting here checked the internet for pictures of rtr levers and they are almost same as pulsars(excluding the slightly larger and thicker clutch cover).

May be as deville_56 suggested maybe a simple buffing of the levers and applying some clear coat paint will be a better idea, but wonder if the buffing will give a neat look.

will try on my pulsar 180 if I succeed, then will try on the duke.

Clear coat also peels off. Leave it as such.

This is one is DIY hand buffing.

This one is machine-buffed, done at electroplating shop. They do buffing before plating. They charged some 200 for buffing 2 levers.

AFAIK Duke got Pulsar levers, as per the KTM spare counter guy.
