Re: KTM Duke 390 - Owners Reviews and Experiences
Hey folks,
What is this foamy layer above the engine oil? Is it normal? It is thin in this pic but generally it is much thicker. I am noticing it often after the last service. Foam forms when engine is hot and after riding. If the bike is parked even with hot engine, it disappears in a minute. Performance of bike is also down. Should I be worried?
Thanks

Re: KTM Duke 390 - Owners Reviews and Experiences
There's nothing to worry, every time the motorcycle's stopped for a while and cranked upon, this happens. If you observe foaming where the oil screen becomes milky white, or oil turning green (due to coolant) then you have problem, this is no problem. Don't panic.Originally posted by panic View PostHey folks,

The girl said, 'NO!'
And the guy lived happily ever after and rode motorcycles and watched sport on a big screen TV, went fishing and surfing, and played golf a lot, and drank beer and scotch and had tons of money in the bank and left the toilet seat up and farted whenever he wanted.
THE END

Haha. Thanks for the reply. I did "panic". I am sure the coolant isn't mixing as I note the level of coolant with a marker and keeps a vigilant eye on all leaks on my bike. I do kill and crank the engine several times in commute. Bangalore traffic
. May be that's the thing.

Please check the respective state regulations because these things vary state to state.Originally posted by rakshit rana View PostI too need to know the same.
Please enlighten us.
But normally you should be able to use the bike in another state for at least 1-2 months without any NOC from the state where the bike was registered. And if its going to be more than a year (time frame might vary state to state) then you should have to pay the road tax/re-register (ideally you should be able to get a tax refund from the state where you purchased the bike, but very few people even bother)
Go over the respective states' RTO websites for more info. Cops will always try to extract money from you, but a bit of awareness of the law on your part will help you avoid paying up unnecessarily.

Re: KTM Duke 390 - Owners Reviews and Experiences
Ok guys i booked the d390 send out an request for a bank loan.. Since im a bank employee i can get a bank loan for motorcycle without any interest.
But the problem is it takes 1 takes week for it to sanction and ktm staff are compelling me that if i dont get it done by 30th the prices are going to be increased by 7000
By the next month.
So i m alittle bit worried .
Iasked the ktm staff that i booked before the price change so will that affect me. But they said booking will not matter and if i dont get it before 30 th i will have to pay extra.ZMA-R,FZ-S,HONDA DIO,RD-350(1984)

Check with a few other centres on phone in your state. If they all say the same thing then that means the news is true, else shoot a mail to ktm.Originally posted by Deepak Vishnu View PostOk guys i booked the d390 send out an request for a bank loan..
