It'll be big. It'll have more tha 3pumps for petrol alone. It'll have BP plastered all over it and there will be no other name anywhere else. And lastly it'll look posh and clean. The one next to the flyover near parade grounds is company operated for example.

BP sells it, look for Speed97 petrol. Very few places have these, only one bunk in Blore has it!Originally posted by Balgi View PostHey guys does anyone know if and/or where we can buy for high octane fuels? I know it doesn't make much difference in the duke's performance but at least it'll solve the engine knock issue.
There was a thread in xbhp where all Speed97 bunks were listed, you have to search for it

Yeah I went through the thread but found the info to be dated. It was from last year and when I inquired in some of the bunks they said they don't sell it anymore.Originally posted by Adarsh_Bk View PostBP sells it, look for Speed97 petrol. Very few places have these, only one bunk in Blore has it!

Re: KTM Duke 390 - Owners Reviews and Experiences
It comes down to the individual petrol bunk. And yes from what ive seen with indian oil, for some reason i always used to get lower mileage on my bikes. So i always fill up at BP and 99% at the bunk at jubilee hills check post.Originally posted by mustang28 View PostWhat is the feedback on Bharat Petroleum then? It is the only choice I am left with anyway!
That is NOT true, its just a myth. I know a cpl of ioc coco pumps that are pathetic.Originally posted by TheArcher84 View PostBut always better to fill your tank with the company operated ones rather than filling at any petrol station. The company operated ones are more pure than the retailers.
Where do you stay ? Fill up from those huge BP bunks. You will see a poster/banner saying pure for sure blah blah blah and also see a banner telling you how to check the quality of fuel using a filter paper test. If they do not oblige, you will also find the contact info of the BP Hyderabad area manager to whom you can call and complain.Originally posted by mustang28 View PostNoob question, but How do you identify a company operated petrol station of BP?
Maybe you should read my post on the petrol prices update thread where i took the BP bunk to task for overcharging me. They almost had to shut down. This is the bunk at the juiblee hills check post.. their fuel quality is good though. And when i enquired about these higher octane fuel, the owner told me that due to low demand they do not stock that and instead advised to use the 'system g' additive once in a while.
Not anywhere in hyderabad. Use system g, it has some good reviews from car owners and i think it was even recommended by some car manufacturers. Use it once in a while and stick to the recommended dose mentioned on the bottle.Originally posted by Balgi View PostHey guys does anyone know if and/or where we can buy for high octane fuels? You do get Speed 97 from BP in Hyderabad. Go to this bunk located on the New Mumbai HIghway before Dargah. Its on the main road.Originally posted by Balgi View PostHey thanx for the info bro. Have you used system g in your bike? Where can I buy it?
New Mumbai Rd, AP Animal Husbandry Employees Colony, Shaikpet
Hyderabad, Telangana 500008
Since Speed 97 is not available everywhere, am not sure if switching from high octane to low octane is good for the bike in the long run.
There is no better therapy than riding a bike down a straight road at full throttle with the sound of the engine for company.

It helps clean the fuel lines, carburettor/injector etc and again it should be available in most BP bunksOriginally posted by Balgi View PostHey thanx for the info bro. I had used it on RTR for a long time and it did help to keep the carb clean. Didnt use it much on duke though.Last edited by Adarsh_Bk; 10-21-2014, 12:30 PM.

I think I need to use it on my 390 due to all the crap oil that has flown through her system.Originally posted by Adarsh_Bk View PostSystem G is not an octane booster. It helps clean the fuel lines, carburettor/injector etc and again it should be available in most BP bunks

Costs 299 IIRC for newer batches whereas I got mine last year for 250. BP petrol bunks stock them.Originally posted by mustang28 View PostI think I need to use it on my 390 due to all the crap oil that has flown through her system.

Use 1 ml per liter of fuel. You'll have markings done on the bottle cap for convenience. To be mixed before filling in. (Pour 5 ml and then 5 liters petrol for e.g)Got a $5 head? Get a $5 helmet.

May not be true in your case, But the company operated ones by BP in Chennai where I fill my petrol regularly has good standards being maintained, be with their filter paper test or charges. Its not a MYTH either.Originally posted by s1d View Post

I feel BP bunks, whether coco or privately held maintain better standards. that's what i meant in my previous posts. Blindly saying that all coco pumps are the better than privately held ones is a myth. Because I have interacted with BP directly when i had an issue and they took it up seriously and resolved it. the issue was price not quality though.Originally posted by TheArcher84 View PostMay not be true in your case, But the company operated ones by BP in Chennai where I fill my petrol regularly has good standards being maintained, be with their filter paper test or charges. When it comes to Ioc i am yet to come across a decent one in hyderabad.. be it coco or privately held, I just stay away from them.

Are you sure they are still selling it ? Because I know, you will see a sticker/banner at their pump or dispensing unit mentioning speed 97 but in reality what is coming out is only 91. I guess maybe they forgot to remove those labels from earlier.Originally posted by mustang28 View PostYou do get Speed 97 from BP in Hyderabad. And as mentioned by others system G is available at BP bunks for around 250-300rs and 'how to use/dosage' is mentioned on the bottle. And no i haven't used it yet on my D200.. i will pick up a bottle shortly and use it after a couple of 1000km for one full tank. The D200 seems to run just fine on regular 91, and i am getting a mileage of around 33 during my run in currently..(neither babying it nor pushing it too hard.. maintaining the balance)

Yes sir, i never said it is an octance booster. I think the so called octane boosters are a scamOriginally posted by Adarsh_Bk View PostSystem G is not an octane booster. It helps clean the fuel lines, carburettor/injector etc and again it should be available in most BP bunks

as you mentioned the system g is more of cleanup / gumming prevention additive that might also help with preventing 'phase separation' (water separation from petrol when stored for longer periods and the ethanol stuff)
